BlackLine recognised as top Finance Product by G2 for fifth consecutive year
Thu, 22nd Feb 2024

BlackLine, a specialist in digital financial transformation, continues to receive recognition for its Financial Close Management solution, having been recently named by G2, a top online software marketplace and peer review platform, as a leading Accounting & Finance Product for 2024. This year's honour marks the fifth time in a row that G2 has acknowledged BlackLine's stand-out position as a main platform for CFOs.

With a reach of over 90 million buyers yearly, including staff at every Fortune 500 company, G2 is the world's largest software marketplace. Its annual Best Software Awards categorise the globe's pinnacle software companies and products, basing its rankings on authentic, timely reviews from actual users. For an entity or product to be acknowledged as a Best Software Award winner, it must have obtained a minimum of 50 approved and published reviews within the prior calendar year. The calculated scores reflect data exclusively from reviews submitted within this evaluation timeframe.

BlackLine was the only provider of all-inclusive financial close automation software to feature on the award list this year, placing in the top 50 from nearly 3,500 finance and accounting products. G2 pointed out that fewer than 1% of all providers listed on the G2 platform achieved award recognition this year.

The value of BlackLine for its users is clear, highlighted in a selection of five-star reviews. Mentioned repeatedly was the transformative impact on month-end closing processes, with one midsize company noting that their time spent on closing went from over 20 days per month down to 10-12 days, all thanks to BlackLine. Users from enterprises with more than 1000 employees praised its all-in-one platform and detailed, real-time reporting capabilities. Reflecting these sentiments, a mid-sized real estate company cited their newfound ability to confidently report in critical times as a key factor to continued success, while a system administrator overseeing multiple global deployments highly rated the centralisation of data across regions.

Sara Rossio, Chief Product Officer at G2, said the Best Software Awards are essentially customer-driven, representing their voices and faith in the awarded software. "These awards spotlight those, such as BlackLine, that have risen to the top among thousands of companies and achieved recognition driven by verified data rooted in the source that truly matters – authentic customer voice," she remarked.

With over 4,300 clients trusting in its ability to deliver faster, accurate, and complete results, BlackLine continues to lead the cloud financial close market. Its operations span the globe, with presence in major business hubs such as Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, Sydney, and Singapore.

BlackLine's cloud platform and customer service help companies move to modern accounting by unifying their data and processes, automating repetitive work, and driving accountability through visibility. BlackLine provides solutions to manage and automate financial close, intercompany accounting, invoice-to-cash, and consolidation processes helping large enterprises and midsize businesses on their digital finance transformation journeys.
