TeamViewer leads connected worker platforms with AR solutions

Fri, 26th Jul 2024

TeamViewer has been recognised as the leading solution among Open Digital Platforms for Connected Workers (AR) in the PAC Innovation Radar 2024. This accolade marks another milestone for the remote connectivity and workplace digitalisation provider, highlighting its prowess in augmented reality (AR) applications, strategic partnerships, and solid market strategies.

The PAC report lauds TeamViewer for its effective AR use cases, especially in manual order picking using smart glasses and other wearable devices. The company's partnerships and robust financial stability were also emphasised. TeamViewer's connected worker platform, TeamViewer Frontline, enables industrial workers to receive step-by-step instructions, visual guidance, and remote expert support, all through wearable computing technology and integrated AR solutions.

Arnold Vogt, Head of Digital and IoT at PAC, commented on the report's findings. "While the market for connected worker platforms is going through a consolidation phase, it turns out that TeamViewer has moved into a market-leading position. By focusing on the most relevant use cases and strategic partnerships, TeamViewer’s connected worker business is not only very resilient but also ready for further growth,” he said.

TeamViewer's strategic partnerships with leading firms such as Siemens and SAP have also been integral to its success. Notable implementations include the digitalisation of warehouse processes at Nadro in Mexico through a vision-picking solution integrated with SAP Extended Warehouse Management. Recent collaborations with Manhattan Associates for warehouse management solutions and a joint go-to-market strategy with Deloitte further underscore TeamViewer’s commitment to expanding its technological ecosystem.

Mei Dent, Chief Product and Technology Officer at TeamViewer, expressed the company’s excitement about the recognition. "We are thrilled and deeply honoured to be named the number one solution in the Connected Workers category by PAC Innovation Radar 2024. This recognition is a testament to our relentless pursuit of innovation and our strong collaborations with industry leaders. Our AR solutions are driving remarkable benefits for our customers, enabling them to exceed their own clients' expectations. We are not just keeping pace with digital transformation in the industry—we are shaping it,” she stated.

TeamViewer Frontline has been pivotal in helping companies modernise desk-less workforces by streamlining operations and improving efficiency. The platform uses advanced wearable computing technology and AR to offer industrial workers visual aids and remote assistance, which has been particularly useful in maintaining competitiveness in a digital-centric business environment.

This latest recognition by PAC underscores TeamViewer’s commitment to continuous innovation and its vital role in the digital transformation landscape. The company's strong global presence and connections with key industry players further cement its position in the connected worker market.
