Adyen partners with Aigens to enhance F&B payments in Asia

Yesterday

Adyen has announced its partnership with Aigens to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience in the food and beverage sector in Hong Kong and Singapore.

By integrating Adyen's payment capabilities into its systems, Aigens aims to resolve issues related to siloed payment and point-of-sales systems that have previously resulted in inaccuracies, complicated financial reconciliation, and a diminished diner experience. This collaboration is expected to simplify workflows for F&B enterprises and quick service restaurants.

The partnership enables the integration of Adyen's payment solutions into three operational flows: bill settlement at the counter, ordering through kiosks, and QR code mobile ordering. The latter two options facilitate self-service for diners, potentially shortening queues and boosting customer satisfaction.

Ben Wong, General Manager, Southeast Asia and Hong Kong, Adyen, said, "We're excited to partner with Aigens on their journey to deliver seamless payment solutions for their merchants and customers. Our global presence and single tech stack allows us to effectively collaborate with these SaaS platforms, simplifying the complexities of cross-border expansion as they scale across markets. This strategic move for Aigens will enhance customer lifetime value, offer diverse payment options, open new revenue streams, and contribute to a more resilient business model."

Hans Paul, Co-Founder & CEO, Aigens, commented, "Aigens is committed to empowering the F&B sector through a relentless focus on innovations. To help our merchants elevate diner experience and maximize efficiency, we have partnered with Adyen to craft a comprehensive payment solution which promises flexibility and seamless integration. We are confident that the strengthened Aigens Pay will raise customer satisfaction levels and drive growth for our merchants."

Initial adopters of Aigens' enhanced payment solution include Swee Choon, Louisa Coffee, Gyushige, and TREEHOUSE. Notably, Louisa Coffee has reported a significant improvement in transaction authorisation rates, averaging 98% since implementing the Aigens Pay solution.

Beyond hardware integration, Aigens is introducing Adyen's Tap to Pay on Android, which transforms any NFC-enabled Android device into a contactless payment terminal. This development allows greater customisation to suit the varying needs of F&B merchants.

This strategic partnership positions Aigens as a comprehensive system covering all ordering and payment interactions across the dining experience, while concurrently diversifying its revenue streams and supporting its commercial growth.
