Sitecore appoints former Salesforce executive Kathie Johnson as CMO

Global marketing technology company Sitecore has named former Salesforce Commerce Cloud executive Kathie Johnson as its new chief marketing officer. Johnson, who was most recently the chief marketing officer for Talkdesk, a leading global contact centre platform provider, is set to take the reins of Sitecore's marketing function at its San Francisco headquarters.

Johnson possesses over 25 years' experience in the B2B technology sector, where she has successfully built brands that have resonated with customers. At Talkdesk, Johnson was instrumental in leading the company through a significant growth period; she led the company to rank as #8 in the Forbes Cloud 100 list in 2022 and 2023, a massive leap from its position at #66 in 2019.

Her previous role at Salesforce, where she served as the senior vice president of marketing, saw her responsible for driving substantial increases in revenue through comprehensive marketing strategies across seven key industries. Her talents were also utilised as the vice president of marketing for Salesforce's Commerce Cloud.
