Yesterday

SenSen, an Australian company specialising in artificial intelligence (AI) for urban management, has announced the appointment of Leah Quintana as Head of Strategic Alliances and Channel Partnerships as part of its expansion strategy in North America.

Leah Quintana is tasked with growing SenSen's partner network and enhancing its market reach through strategic collaborations, particularly in the rapidly expanding field of smart city solutions. Quintana's role is seen as critical in advancing the company's presence and impact across North America, a key region for the company's ambitions in AI-driven urban solutions.

"SenSen's dedication to 'AI for Good' is incredibly inspiring," said Leah Quintana. "AI should ultimately enhance human experiences, not replace them, and SenSen's focus on practical, human-centered applications of AI aligns perfectly with my own values. I'm particularly excited to work with partners who share our vision for smart, sustainable applications of AI that truly benefit communities and makes a tangible difference in people's everyday lives."

SenSen's Chief Executive Officer, Subhash Challa, expressed his enthusiasm for Quintana's appointment, highlighting her expertise as pivotal for the company's growth strategy. "We are well-poised for growth moving forward," he stated. "The North American market represents a critical opportunity for SenSen to impact urban management and public safety through AI. With Leah's deep expertise and strategic insight, we're poised to build strong alliances that will accelerate the adoption of our solutions and enable real progress in the cities we serve."

Founded by AI expert Dr. Subhash Challa, SenSen offers technology that integrates various data streams, including from CCTV and parking meters, into an AI platform. This platform analyses urban curb usage data to propose enhancements that potentially reduce road accidents and improve congestion management. One of its standout features is privacy protection, utilising face-blurring technology with a high accuracy rate.

The company has successfully implemented its technology in major North American cities, including Toronto and Chicago. In Toronto, SenSen's platform manages extensive urban infrastructure, overseeing around 300 miles of curb space and identifying anomalies in city signage. Meanwhile, in Chicago, the company plays a crucial role in managing significant parking resources and optimising operational efficiencies in the bustling cityscape.

Outside of North America, SenSen engages with entities such as Australia's National Heavy Vehicle Regulator, local councils, and the Singapore Government. The company is focused on expanding its influence by effectively managing urban spaces and contributing to the development of smart cities of the future.
