Tue, 10th Oct 2023

Constant Contact, a digital marketing and automation eCommerce platform renowned for its pioneering work in the small business sector, has appointed Rene Chaplin as its new Asia-Pacific Vice President. Based in Brisbane, Chaplin brings a wealth of experience from her work at companies such as Cloudscene, Zuuse, CSG, and LivePerson. This strategic appointment comes after Constant Contact’s significant move into the Australian marketplace through the acquisition of Vision6, the country's leading email and SMS marketing platform.

Chaplin's new role will be integral in driving Constant Contact's APAC expansion from its regional HQ in Brisbane. Her effort will be primarily focused on supporting small businesses, advancing AI potential, and improving the value for local customers and partners. Emphasising the importance of her appointment, Chaplin says, "Constant Contact’s recent developments in AI and marketing automation make this an exciting opportunity. Our Vision6 product is Australia’s most reliable email marketing and SMS platform, equipped with sovereign onshore data storage and local customer support."

Constant Contact's bid for expansion is noted by its appointment of new leadership in APAC, which is aimed at accelerating growth in the region. Rene Chaplin will be at the helm of this initiative to enhance local adoption of Constant Contact and to scale international business. The company's CEO, Frank Vella, said, "International presence is a key objective for Constant Contact, and Australia is a significant technology hub. Our investment in APAC through the acquisition of Vision6 allows us to build on that momentum to deliver more value."

Vella underscores confidence in Chaplin's capabilities, believing she can leverage her experience to help drive broader awareness and adoption of Constant Contact’s digital marketing platform in APAC, and to deliver unparalleled value to customers. He also articulated his excitement during the acquisition of Vision6, stating: "We are eager to partner with them as colleagues, and I am certain their market knowledge, passion and energy will be instrumental to our global growth and investment plans."

Before joining Constant Contact, Chaplin worked for an array of technology companies including start-ups and multinational SaaS organisations specialising in AI, automation, customer experience and billing technology. Her array of experience across these organisations is expected to make a significant contribution to Constant Contact's growth in the Asia Pacific region. Chaplin shares the enthusiasm about the merge, stating "I look forward to growing Constant Contact’s APAC business and helping our customers and agency partners develop stronger relationships with their customers."
