Bangkok becomes key AWS Direct Connect location in Asia
Telehouse Bangkok has become an AWS Direct Connect location, enabling businesses private and secure low-latency access to over 240 AWS services, including AWS's generative AI offerings.
The Thai facility is the fourth AWS Direct Connect site globally, joining locations in Paris, London, and Osaka. Strategically situated in central Bangkok, it aims to support Thailand's 4.0 strategy by enhancing network reliability and ensuring seamless interconnection capabilities.
Customers at Telehouse Bangkok can now directly connect to AWS using a dedicated link, facilitating a private connection and reducing latency while providing guaranteed bandwidth for their cloud environments. This connection promises enhanced network throughput and stability.
Ken Miyashita, Managing Director of Telehouse Thailand, stated, "The AWS Direct Connect location at Telehouse Bangkok provides a secure, private link to AWS cloud services, enhances throughput and ensures stability of our customers' networks. This is a critical milestone for our interconnection strategy and aligns with Thailand's evolving business needs and initiatives such as the Thailand government's 4.0 economic strategy, which aims to drive innovation, productivity, and sustainable growth."
The data centre in Bangkok is purpose-built for interconnection, offering significant advantages, including a four-route diverse fibre duct for optimal network reliability. Through its Cross Connect service, Telehouse offers seamless access to a broad ecosystem of partners, comprising cloud service providers, telecom carriers, ISPs, and content providers.
This expanded connectivity empowers businesses to deliver their services with efficiency and reliability, contributing positively to their sustainable operations and providing diverse service provider access.
