VNET partners with SDHG to spur renewable energy in China

VNET Group, a primary carrier and cloud-neutral internet data centre (IDC) provider in China, has announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Shandong Hi-Speed Holdings Group Limited (SDHG), an overseas investment and emerging industrial holding platform of the Shandong Hi-Speed Group.

The partnership will see the two companies combine resources to develop renewable energy initiatives in northern China. The proposed low-carbon, secure, and highly efficient renewable energy system aligns with the national strategy 'East Data, West Computing'.

Furthermore, the partnership will collaboratively work on developing innovative computing power network infrastructures that include data centre, cloud computing, and big data. The primary aim being to promote the low-carbon and high-quality development of IDC services.

Josh Sheng Chen, Founder and Executive Chairman of VNET, expressed confidence in the partnership. He said, "The synergy that SDHG and VNET are going to create through the partnership is quite impressive."
