Vertiv has opened an experience centre in Singapore to give customers and partners direct access to its infrastructure systems for AI and high-density computing.

The site serves as a customer engagement hub where visitors can see integrated power, cooling and infrastructure systems in operation. It is aimed at customers, channel partners, consultants and other industry stakeholders seeking a closer look at equipment used in high-power-density data centre environments.

Singapore is one of Asia's main digital infrastructure markets, and the opening reflects continued investment in facilities linked to AI workloads and denser computing environments. The centre is designed to show how different parts of a data centre stack can be combined to support reliability, energy efficiency and deployment needs.

The facility includes live demonstrations of Vertiv SmartRun, an overhead infrastructure system that combines power distribution, liquid cooling piping, networking and busway in one platform. It also features Vertiv SmartAisle 3, described as the latest version of the company's modular data centre infrastructure, alongside thermal management, power management and monitoring systems for AI applications.

Other equipment on display includes liquid cooling systems for direct-to-chip and other high-density cooling applications, as well as critical power systems, switchgear and power distribution products. Visitors can also review infrastructure management and monitoring tools intended to give operators greater visibility into data centre operations.

The launch comes as AI deployments place greater demands on data centre design, particularly in electricity consumption, heat removal and floor-space planning. These shifts have pushed suppliers of electrical and thermal systems to present more integrated approaches to operators building or expanding facilities for newer computing loads.

The centre also shows how Vertiv's systems connect from utility supply through to computing hardware. That approach is becoming increasingly relevant in AI-focused environments, where rack densities can exceed those associated with conventional enterprise workloads and where liquid cooling is becoming more common.

Antony Szafranek, Senior Director for Strategic Accounts at Vertiv Asia, said the regional market had shifted as organisations expanded digital infrastructure to support AI projects.

"Organisations across Asia are scaling their digital infrastructure to support AI innovation, creating new demands for reliability, efficiency and speed of deployment," said Antony Szafranek, Senior Director for Strategic Accounts at Vertiv Asia.

He said the site had been designed as a practical environment for customers and partners to assess these systems.

"The Experience Centre gives customers and partners a hands-on environment to explore how integrated power and cooling technologies can support higher-density computing while maintaining operational resilience," Szafranek said.

Regional demand

The opening highlights how infrastructure vendors are positioning themselves around AI-related spending in Asia, where cloud expansion, data localisation requirements and enterprise AI adoption are driving demand for new capacity. Singapore remains a strategic location despite tight controls on data centre development because it serves as a regional base for operators, service providers and multinational technology groups.

For suppliers such as Vertiv, demonstration facilities can help shorten sales cycles by allowing buyers to inspect system layouts and operational features before committing to larger projects. That matters in a market where cooling architecture and electrical design can directly affect build costs and operational efficiency.

Daniel Sim, Senior Director for AI Ecosystem Alliances and Channel Partners at Vertiv Asia, said infrastructure decisions were becoming more interconnected as AI adoption advanced.

"The pace of AI-driven transformation requires greater integration of power, cooling and IT infrastructure," said Daniel Sim, Senior Director for AI Ecosystem Alliances and Channel Partners at Vertiv Asia.

"At the Experience Centre, customers can see how these technologies work together to address the infrastructure requirements of AI and high-density computing," Sim said.
