Sustainable data centre services provider, Verne Global, has announced the appointment of Natasha Mehta to the newly created role of Head of Project Management. The role is pivotal to the ongoing development and scale of Verne Global's operations as a leading data centre provider in Europe.
Prior to joining Verne Global, Mehta held the position of Associate Director at VIPA Digital, where she provided project management and consulting services to both data centre providers and investors. Mehta has also held senior roles at Arcadis and Digital Realty. Her extensive experience in the critical infrastructure sector and in the data centre industry is expected to provide valuable insight and drive efficiencies at Verne Global.
The London-based role involves delivering all of Verne Global's major projects, including new builds, data hall fit-outs, and other strategic initiatives. As part of her key responsibilities, Natasha will maintain the efficiency of project planning and execution, staying within the set constraints of time, scope and budget. Additionally, she will be responsible for establishing and maintaining standardised processes and methodologies throughout the company’s extensive data centre platform, spanning Iceland, Finland and the UK. This will ensure that all current and future projects follow consistent best practice guidelines.
Along with her industry experience, Mehta's academic background in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sydney is likely to bring an informed perspective to the position. As mentioned by Tate Cantrell, Chief Technology Officer at Verne Global, "Tash brings extensive project management experience to our team and her role will be pivotal as we continue to scale our Northern European data centre platform."
Mehta’s appointment comes at a time when Verne Global is undertaking some of the most innovative projects in the data centre industry. "Verne Global's unwavering focus on sustainability and technical excellence means it is undertaking some of the most innovative projects in the data centre industry today," said Mehta. She is excited to join an organisation that's at the forefront of sustainable data centre design and anticipates contributing to Verne Global's vision of supporting high-density workloads in the most efficient and sustainable manner possible.
