Unit4 reports cloud success & unveils new services tier

Today

Unit4 has announced significant progress in its cloud migration services, the launch of a new services tier, and leadership changes, reflecting strong demand for its SaaS ERP solutions.

At the close of the financial year 2024, Unit4 reported substantial advancements in migrating several clients to the cloud across various sectors. The clients include Boo Energi, a Swedish energy company; Northern Ireland's Council for the Curriculum, Examinations & Assessment; The Carbon Trust, a climate consultancy; the University of the West of England; Education Development Trust; Scotland's SQA; and BWH Hotels GB, a hospitality group.

Building on this momentum, Unit4 has expanded its service offerings with the introduction of "Success4U Advanced". This new service offering, part of Unit4's SaaS Engagement model, is designed for customers who use Unit4 solutions that are not mission-critical and do not require high-level support, providing a middle ground between Essentials and Professional services.

Among the organisations now utilising Success4U are Middlesbrough Council and Aston University in Birmingham.

Unit4 also recently welcomed new executives as part of its leadership changes, with Simon Paris taking over as CEO from Mike Ettling. Paris brings over 25 years of technology industry experience to the role, continuing the strategic direction and growth trajectory established by his predecessor.

Simon Paris, CEO, Unit4, commented, "I am joining Unit4 at an incredibly exciting time in the transition to Cloud-native applications. Especially in service-based industries, there has been significant pressure on growth, while nonprofits and public sector bodies continue to juggle the knotty challenge of balancing efficiency and investment in innovation. There is a real recognition among our customers that Cloud-based applications are the fundamental building blocks to provide them with the agility they need to modernize, thrive and drive innovation through AI."

Further fortifying the leadership team, Vera Batyalova joins as Vice President, Partner Sales, overseeing the global partner ecosystem, and Magdalena Teschemacher steps into the role of Sales Director for the APAC Region. Batyalova's responsibilities include managing strategic direction and partnerships to drive revenue, while Teschemacher will focus on sales initiatives and business expansion within the Asia Pacific, covering APAC Prosoft and global Unit4 products.

Unit4's commitment to community partnerships continues through collaboration with educational and professional organisations. This includes working with programmes like Top Young 100 in Poland, Generation Girl in Indonesia, and the Talenti platform, each aimed at fostering career opportunities for young professionals and underrepresented groups.

The Top Young 100 programme is highlighted for its annual initiative rewarding the best supply chain students in Poland. A student project team was recognised for developing a solution for Unit4's Procurement team, winning in the Supply Chain Young Designer category.

Generation Girl supports young women in Indonesia with STEM skills vital in tech leadership roles, while Talenti connects women with employers understanding their unique market challenges.
