Solace announces addition of Don Callahan & Steve Mills to Board

Solace, a leading enabler of event-driven architecture for real-time enterprises, has expanded its Board of Directors. Revealed on November 15, 2023, the company welcomed industry veterans Don Callahan and Steve Mills to its administrative body.

Don Callahan is an Executive Partner at Bridge Growth Partners and is currently serving as Director at several prominent companies, including Scotiabank, WEX Inc., Tata Consultancy Services, and Kore.ai. His illustrious career spans back to 2007 when he held several roles at Citigroup. Callahan's senior position at Citigroup was the Chief Administrative Officer and Global Head of Operations, Technology, and Shared Services. Outside of Citigroup, he held senior executive positions at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Before that, Callahan spent 12 years at IBM and held several management roles, one of which was the Director of Strategy for IBM Japan.

Joining Callahan, Steve Mills also stands as an Executive Partner at Bridge Growth Partners. Currently, he is a Director at Marsh and McLennan and Syniti. Starting his lengthy 42-year career at IBM in 1973, Mills held various positions within the company. During his tenure, he oversaw many key strategic initiatives at IBM, including transaction systems, development tools, security products, database and analytic offerings, and the renowned IBM Watson. His directive abilities extended to organic investments and acquisitions measured in the billions of dollars. Mills' leadership saw the successful acquisition and integration of over 150 companies under IBM.

Both Callahan and Mills have been warmly received by Solace, whose President and CEO, Denis King, expressed his elation over their appointments. "Both Don and Steve bring a wealth of relevant experience and industry expertise to the Solace board, and we are thrilled to welcome them as new directors", King says.
