Snom Technology has signed a commercial partnership with Telediant in Malaysia, expanding its distribution network in Southeast Asia.

Under the deal, Telediant will bring Snom's IP phones, DECT mobility products, headsets and conferencing devices to customers in Malaysia. The company is a system integrator and technology solutions provider focused on enterprise communications and digital transformation projects.

The agreement gives Snom another route into a market where it is seeking broader reach across office environments, hybrid workplaces, contact centres, hospitality, healthcare, retail, public administration and large enterprises. Telediant serves customers in government, healthcare, financial services, education, hospitality and large companies.

Based in Berlin, Snom makes IP phones, VoIP communication products and DECT systems for professional use. It has been part of VTech since 2016 and has more than 13 million installed devices worldwide.

In Malaysia, Snom pointed to support from parent company VTech's production facilities and warehouses as part of its local footprint. That presence is expected to help product availability and support for channel partners and end users in the market.

Local expansion

The partnership is part of Snom's wider push to add regional partners in international markets. Southeast Asia has become an area of interest for communications technology suppliers as businesses and public sector bodies continue to update workplace systems and customer contact tools.

Telediant's role is likely to focus on sales, deployment and support for customers that need telephony and communications systems integrated into broader technology estates. Its portfolio includes IP telephony, unified communications, contact centre systems, CRM platforms, cloud, cybersecurity, networking and enterprise infrastructure.

That breadth may help Snom reach buyers that procure communications systems as part of larger digital transformation projects rather than as standalone hardware purchases. It also gives the German vendor access to a partner with established relationships in regulated and service-intensive sectors.

Anamul Haque, Channel Sales Manager Southeast Europe, Middle East & South-Southeast Asia at Snom Technology, outlined the company's view of the partnership.

"Telediant is an ideal partner for Snom in Malaysia. The company understands the local market and has the technical expertise required to support demanding communication projects across different verticals. Together, we can offer Malaysian customers and partners a strong combination of proven IP communication solutions, project experience and local support," said Haque.

Portfolio fit

For Telediant, the deal adds a European communications brand to its existing offer for enterprise customers. The tie-up broadens the options it can present to organisations evaluating workplace communication and customer engagement systems.

Malaysia remains a competitive market for business communications suppliers, with demand shaped by the needs of large enterprises, public agencies and service sectors that require a mix of desk-based, mobile and site-wide communications tools. In that environment, distribution and support partnerships often determine which vendors can build a sustained market presence.

Telediant's customer base spans sectors where procurement cycles can be long and deployments complex, particularly in government, healthcare and financial services. These sectors often require integration with existing telephony, collaboration and operational systems, as well as local implementation support.

Rajinder Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Telediant, said the partnership would give customers in Malaysia access to Snom's products alongside local support.

"Snom is internationally recognized for the quality, reliability and security of its professional IP communication solutions. This partnership allows us to offer Malaysian organisations a proven portfolio that supports efficient communication, collaboration and customer engagement. Snom's local presence in Malaysia, supported by the production facilities and warehouses of its parent company, VTech, represents a significant advantage for our partners and customers, enabling faster product availability, greater flexibility and reliable local support," said Singh.
