Signify and Bose Professional have signed a memorandum of understanding in Singapore to explore integrated lighting and audio solutions across Southeast Asia, initially targeting venues, hospitality, retail and workplaces.

The companies will combine connected lighting systems and professional audio products in joint offerings for customers seeking more integrated environments. Their work will include reference architectures, demonstrations and pilot projects developed with system integrators, consultants and channel partners.

A joint 180-day action plan will guide the first phase of the partnership, covering priority markets, lighthouse projects and live demonstrations across Southeast Asia.

Initial sectors

The early focus will be on stadiums, arenas and entertainment venues, as well as hotels, retail settings, experience centres and workplaces. The partners aim to address spaces where lighting and sound are often planned separately, despite being used together in customer-facing environments.

Signify will bring its professional and connected lighting portfolio to the partnership, including Interact, Dynalite and Colour Kinetics. Bose Professional will contribute loudspeakers, amplifiers and its ControlSpace audio ecosystem.

The move comes as businesses across Asia Pacific continue to invest in digital and building infrastructure. The companies cited IDC forecasts showing ICT spending in the region reaching USD $647 billion in 2026 as organisations upgrade systems for more connected operations.

Regional push

For Signify, the agreement supports its effort to deepen its presence in professional lighting applications across Southeast Asia and the Far East. It said it has an installed base of 171 million connected light points worldwide.

Bose Professional brings an established position in commercial audio, with more than 50 years in the sector and an existing regional footprint. The partnership appears aimed not only at product integration but also at building a route to market through shared customer engagement.

As Eric Rondolat, Chief Executive Officer, Signify, said, "In today's economy, experience has become one of the strongest differentiators a business can have. Stadiums, hotels, stores and offices are increasingly judged by how they make people feel, and light and sound shape that feeling more than almost anything else. This collaboration reflects our focus on connected lighting and on being a more customer-led company. Together with Bose Professional, we can help customers turn their spaces into lasting value."

The emphasis on "experience-led" spaces reflects a wider shift in the commercial buildings and venues market. Owners and operators are increasingly looking at how multiple systems, from lighting and audio to controls and data, can be designed together rather than installed as separate layers.

Jitender Khurana, Chief Executive Officer of Professional Business for Southeast Asia & Far East, Signify, said, "Across SEA, the spaces that win are the ones people remember, and light and sound sit at the heart of that. By combining Signify's connected lighting with Bose Professional's audio expertise, we can offer customers one integrated experience that is simpler to design, deploy and manage."

This addresses a practical issue for venue operators and developers, who often coordinate multiple vendors across fit-out projects. A joint approach may reduce design complexity where audio, lighting and control systems need to work together from the outset.

Market context

Southeast Asia has become an active market for hospitality development, mixed-use real estate, retail modernisation and live entertainment infrastructure. These sectors have created demand for integrated systems that shape how customers, guests and workers experience physical spaces.

For system integrators and consultants, the partnership could create a clearer specification path for projects in which lighting and sound are central to the design brief. The companies will engage customers jointly alongside channel partners as they develop proof-of-concept work.

Nittin Dargan, Regional Director - MEA & APAC (Export), Bose Professional, said, "Great sound and great light have always worked hand in hand, yet they are too often planned separately. Together with Signify, we will help integrators, consultants and venue owners across SEA create spaces that look, sound and feel exceptional, from hotels and retail to sports and entertainment venues. We look forward to delivering our first lighthouse projects together."
