Safebreach launches platform for enterprise cyber risk view
SafeBreach has unveiled a new platform aimed at providing a comprehensive view of cyber risk in enterprise environments.
The newly launched SafeBreach exposure validation platform combines the company's established breach and attack simulation (BAS) capabilities with a new solution for attack path validation. The aim is to offer enterprise security teams a deeper understanding of threat exposure and enhance their overall view of cyber risk.
A report from Gartner outlines how "adversarial exposure validation technologies offer offensive security technologies simulating threat actor tactics, techniques and procedures to validate the existence of exploitable exposures and test security control effectiveness." Gartner has also noted that with this profile, it has consolidated breach attack simulation, autonomous penetration testing, and red teaming.
The introduction of attack path validation is of particular importance in addressing the rising threat of severe cyber attacks, including ransomware and nation-state attacks. Such assaults often aim to infiltrate large organisations, moving laterally within them to extract critical data and assets.
Despite the benefits of attack path validation products like SafeBreach's Propagate, large enterprises have historically hesitated to invest in these technologies due to concerns about potential impacts on their production environments.
Koby Bar, Vice President of Product at SafeBreach, elaborated on this challenge, stating, "To overcome these challenges, we worked tirelessly with multiple enterprise design partners during the development process to understand their concerns and ensure we developed a product that addressed them. One key safety element we have included is to provide clients with very granular control of the scope of the tests they want to run—they can decide where and what can be tested to tailor the Propagate tests to fit their unique needs."
As security threats continue to grow, enterprise Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) often face issues such as tool fatigue, deployment complexity, and alert overload. There is a mounting need for a unified exposure validation platform that integrates critical security capabilities, providing a holistic view of cyber risk to enable data-driven management decisions.
In response, SafeBreach has introduced the SafeBreach exposure validation platform, a suite offering tools that afford end-to-end visibility of security control effectiveness and assess the potential impact of successful breaches. Built from a decade of experience with mature enterprise organisations, the platform offers robust safety and privacy measures, ensures scalable testing, and provides comprehensive support via a renowned threat research team.
Guy Bejerano, CEO at SafeBreach, remarked on the broader trend within the cybersecurity industry, stating, "Based on the direction of the security market, we know there is a huge need for a single platform that CISOs can use to not only understand their residual risk, but to make data-driven decisions around it. That's the way we see the market going, and we are working to converge our BAS capabilities with adjacent capabilities to build that entire platform. With our expertise and enterprise experience, we are better positioned than any other company to make it happen—today's launch is only the beginning."
