Practical DevSecOps launches Black Friday sale on certifications

Fri, 28th Nov 2025

Practical DevSecOps has announced a Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale, offering a 15 percent discount on all certifications and up to USD $500 off on certification bundles.

The price reduction covers a range of its security training products, designed for IT and security professionals seeking practical skills in DevSecOps, AI security, and application protection.

Discount details

The current sale includes seven key certification programmes. The Certified DevSecOps Professional is now available at $764, reduced from $899. The Certified AI Security Professional and Certified Cloud Native Security Expert certifications are each reduced to $849, down from the regular price of $999. The Certified Container Security Expert now costs $424, compared with the usual price of $499. Additional certifications in API security, threat modelling, and software supply chain security are each available for $679, after a reduction from $799.

Skills in demand

Practical DevSecOps states that demand for security skills, particularly in areas such as security automation, AI security, and software supply chain protection, is increasing globally. The company highlights that job roles such as DevSecOps Engineer, AI Security Engineer, Kubernetes Security Architect, Threat Modeler, and Application Security Engineer typically command average annual salaries between $110,000 and $160,000.

Practical approach

The courses at Practical DevSecOps emphasise hands-on labs, real-world challenges, and up-to-date tools. Each enrolment comes with 60 days of laboratory access and a practical examination lasting between six and 24 hours. The aim is to assess practical abilities rather than theoretical knowledge or memorisation. The content focuses on integrating security into code, pipelines, and production environments, allowing learners to practice tasks such as security automation, AI security implementation, container hardening, and threat modelling in simulated settings.

Team training

For organisations, Practical DevSecOps offers bundled pricing that allows multiple engineers to access its training courses at a discounted rate. Teams can address skills gaps across development pipelines, with the objective of reducing breaches and improving compliance outcomes.

Industry trends

The company points to an industry-wide trend towards skill-based and applied security learning, in contrast to training that is heavier on theory. Many organisations and professionals are reportedly undertaking upskilling at the end of the year, to better prepare for new challenges in the following period.

"We've seen how quickly the security landscape is changing. Companies don't just need more security people; they need professionals who know how to apply security in code, pipelines, and production systems. That's what we've always taught. Learning AI Security now means entering the new year prepared, not catching up." said Mohammed A. Imran, Founder and CEO, Practical DevSecOps.
