Panasas appoints key executives to drive global growth
Panasas, a leading data solutions provider for high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI), has announced the appointment of key senior executives as it seeks to extend its global reach. The new additions follow the recent assignment of Ken Claffey as the new Chief Executive Officer. The moves form part of ongoing plans to drive product innovation and tackle wider markets.
According to Claffey, "Panasas is uniquely positioned to have a significant market impact as global enterprises seek modern HPC and AI storage solutions that make it easy to move, protect, and store data at scale to support their business objectives." Current trends such as the advent of AI and increasing demand for scalable, high-performance storage solutions have put Panasas at an inflection point. Claffey adds, "I'm excited to work with these exceptionally talented individuals to achieve our next phase of growth."
The new senior executives, bringing nearly 100 years of industry experience amongst them, will bolster Panasas' ability to provide value to organisations that require reliable, easy-to-use storage solutions that support diverse HPC and AI workloads. The new faces in the team include Hanish Vaghela, Executive Vice President of Sales with nearly three decades of industry experience and a track record at major companies such as Xyratex and Seagate Technology.
Joining him is industry veteran Samantha Clarke, the newly appointed Vice President of Channel and Alliances, who brings more than 20 years of storage infrastructure and partner-enablement experience. The new Vice President of Operations is Mike Park, who brings nearly 30 years of experience in driving business acceleration and increasing operational efficiencies. Completing the line-up is Peter Maddocks as Vice President of Engineering. Maddocks had previous roles at Seagate and Hewlett-Packard, where he led enterprise NAS and SAN software design and development teams.
Panasas has a history of "driving the next era of innovation to meet the needs of emerging applications," according to Claffey, who expressed confidence in the newly formed leadership team. He believes the addition of these seasoned professionals will help him "make Panasas the preferred choice for organisations looking at HPC and AI solutions for their data storage environments."
