Orbus Software acquires Capsifi to enhance transformation platform
Orbus Software has acquired Sydney-based Capsifi to enhance its enterprise architecture-driven enterprise transformation platform, OrbusInfinity.
Orbus Software, a global provider of enterprise transformation software, recently announced the acquisition of Capsifi, an Australian business architecture solutions provider. This strategic move is aimed at boosting OrbusInfinity's capabilities, offering a robust platform for organisations to navigate complex business transformations.
OrbusInfinity enables enterprises to create a comprehensive digital blueprint of their organisation, helping them visualise and control IT portfolios, align technology investments with strategic objectives, and enhance various operational aspects. Capsifi, known for its business architecture management, provides a strategic command centre that integrates insights across multiple domains.
Orbus plans to integrate Capsifi's capabilities into OrbusInfinity, creating a comprehensive enterprise transformation platform. The enhanced offering aims to equip IT architecture teams with the ability to engage in strategic discussions with business partners, offer deep insights to transformation teams, and provide executive leadership with a digital command centre for strategic initiatives.
Both Orbus and Capsifi share a commitment to R&D investments in AI, which intends to improve customers' ability to identify opportunities and iterate enterprise scenarios quickly. "We are extremely pleased to be joining forces with Capsifi. This acquisition will create the most comprehensive, cloud-native enterprise architecture (EA) platform in our market," said Gareth Burton, CEO at Orbus Software. He highlighted the uplift in business architecture offerings and the expanded value proposition for OrbusInfinity customers.
Ian McAdam, CEO at Capsifi, remarked, "Orbus is a well-established leader with over 20 years' experience supporting customers through their transformation initiatives. This partnership advances our business architecture roadmap by adding powerful new features like the native iPaaS, AI, and workflow automation engine (OrbusInfinity Flow), and online diagramming (OrbusInfinity Draw)."
The acquisition also paves the way for developing a Digital Twin of the Organisation (DTO) platform, which aligns business strategy with IT execution and facilitates a seamless flow of insights. DTO technology is seen as the next step in the evolution of EA platforms, promising to underpin all future enterprise transformation decisions.
John Messamore, Co-Founder of SilverTree Equity, commented on the acquisition's implications, "The acquisition of Capsifi creates a powerful synergy by aligning business strategy with IT execution, unlocking high ROI collaboration between business and IT organisations." He noted that this step marks Orbus's first acquisition towards building a leading global DTO platform.
Peter Bates, Chief Product Officer at Orbus Software, stated, "Our product vision is to provide an AI-powered enterprise transformation platform, essential to planning any significant business or IT change, used by transformation leaders to make exceptional strategic decisions." The integration with Capsifi's capability, alongside Orbus's AI-powered DTO focus, aims to offer customers powerful enterprise architecture solutions.
With the acquisition, Orbus strengthens its position as a global SaaS business, now employing approximately 300 employees globally and serving about 700 customers in over 50 countries. Capsifi, headquartered in Sydney, enhances Orbus's reach in the Asia-Pacific region, bolstering its industry experience across various sectors including insurance, financial services, government, and healthcare.
