Nexcom unveils fanless panel PCs & rugged edge systems

Fri, 27th Feb 2026

Nexcom has introduced a new fanless industrial panel PC range for factory-floor human-machine interface and edge computing deployments, and is presenting the systems at the Embedded World 2026 trade show in Nuremberg.

The APPC C21-01 family includes two Full HD models: the APPC160 C21 with a 15.6-inch display and the APPC210 C21 with a 21.5-inch display. Both use Intel Core Ultra 5 125U processors from Intel's Meteor Lake-U line.

Industrial organisations continue to weigh where to run analytics and automation as more sensors and machines generate data on-site. Panel PCs remain a common choice for operator stations and local control panels, while suppliers add AI-related features and security functions as requirements shift in manufacturing and industrial automation.

Panel PC design

Both APPC C21-01 models use a narrow-bezel Full HD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and support 10-point projected capacitive touch input.

The front panel is rated IP65 for protection against dust and water ingress. Nexcom positions the fanless design as a way to reduce maintenance in continuous-operation environments.

Nexcom describes the chassis as slim and modular, intended to simplify installation in industrial settings while retaining mechanical durability.

Connectivity options

The APPC160 C21 and APPC210 C21 include four Gigabit Ethernet ports and multiple USB ports.

For industrial integration, the systems include dual RS-232/485 serial ports, commonly used in factories to connect programmable logic controllers, sensors, and older equipment.

Expansion options include M.2 and mini-PCIe slots for wireless modules, storage, and add-on I/O, depending on configuration and deployment needs.

Operating systems and security

The APPCxx0 C21-01 series supports Windows 10 IoT, Windows 11 IoT, and Ubuntu Linux. The systems include TPM 2.0 for hardware-backed key storage and platform integrity functions.

Nexcom also lists CE approvals and FCC Class A certification for the series, and highlights long-lifecycle support for industrial buyers, where replacement cycles often run longer than in mainstream IT.

Management software

The APPC C21-01 series can be paired with Nexcom's NexVIC product line, a web-based industrial IoT asset management suite.

Nexcom says NexVIC supports remote hardware monitoring and provides a low-code, drag-and-drop approach to creating automation workflows.

Broader portfolio

The panel PCs are part of a wider set of products Nexcom is showing at Embedded World 2026, including a robotic controller called the MARS400 T10-05.

Nexcom says the controller is powered by NVIDIA Jetson T5000 and is designed for motion control products, including humanoid robots. The company says the platform "delivers 2070 TFLOPS of performance for multimodal AI inference in motion control products, including humanoid robots".

Security also features in Nexcom's messaging for the event. The company says its eSAF Guardian software "ensures robust OT security and ISA/IEC 62443 compliance".

Nexcom is also promoting an on-premises AI offering called AIC AI-X, which it says "offers on-premises GenAI for organizations prioritizing data privacy through RAG capabilities."

Rugged edge systems

Alongside factory systems, Nexcom is highlighting products for transport and municipal deployments, including edge computing systems such as the ATC 3561-NA4C with an IP67-rated design.

Nexcom links its Jetson-based edge computers to use cases including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, Automatic Number Plate Recognition, and Intelligent Transportation Systems, which often require local processing of video and sensor data on vehicles or at roadside locations.

For smart city infrastructure and display-driven deployments, Nexcom is also showcasing the NDiS B340 Duro Edge computer, which it says can be expanded through a DockInfinity PCIe module.

Embedded World 2026 has emphasised edge deployment and physical AI across industrial markets. Nexcom is using the show to position its latest panel PC series alongside robotics controllers, on-premises AI systems, and rugged edge computers for transport and smart city environments.

Nexcom will run live product demonstrations at its booth during Embedded World 2026 in Nuremberg.
