Nasuni Strengthens Leadership Team with Key appointments for Growth
Thu, 5th Oct 2023

Nasuni, a premier hybrid cloud storage solution company, today announced a significant strengthening of its leadership team with appointments of Asim Zaheer as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Matthew Grantham as Head of Worldwide Partners, and Curt Douglas as the Vice President of Sales for its Western region.

Former CMO at Glassbox and Hitachi Vantara, Asim Zaheer, brings over 25 years of technology marketing experience to this role. As Nasuni gears up to enter its next phase of growth, Zaheer will be in charge of scaling the brand's global go-to-market strategy. He states, "In my conversations with customers, it is clear that enterprises need to replace traditional hardware-based file storage and data protection systems with a scalable cloud-native solution. Nasuni is a clear leader in the rapidly growing category of Hybrid Cloud Storage and has the leading product in this accelerating market. I am thrilled to help expand its global footprint at such an exciting time for the company."

Matthew Grantham, with 20 years of managing customer and partner relationships under his belt, will lead Nasuni’s partner program. Grantham's prior experience includes Global Vice President of Channel Sales for Hyperscience and executive channel leadership positions at TenFold and Fuze. Curt Douglas, on the other hand, brings 20 years of specialisation in enterprise technology. In his new role, Douglas will lead the company's Western sales region. His past roles include leading West and Central US commercial business initiatives at Nutanix, in addition to senior sales roles at NetApp, IBM, and EMC.

This strengthening of leadership follows a banner year for Nasuni. The company currently supports more than 800 customers including numerous Fortune 500 enterprises across 70 countries. Last year, it surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). This year, it unveiled new integrations with Microsoft Sentinel, announced an expanded partnership with solutions provider Presidio, and appointed a new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and a Chief Innovation Officer.

The experts' vast wealth of experience and expertise is expected to propel Nasuni's global market share, especially in the US and Europe. David Grant, Nasuni President, says, "Asim's wealth of technology marketing experience and the sales expertise brought in by Matthew and Curt will undoubtedly expedite our company's growth. Legacy file systems are simply not enough for the demands of today's enterprises."

The company's advanced file storage systems are designed strategically to meet the increasing demand for hybrid cloud storage with distributed file shares and safeguards against ransomware. These trends align with Gartner's prediction stating consumption-based storage models will triple their stake in total enterprise storage capacity in the next five years.

Nasuni's hybrid File Data Platform serves as a replacement for traditional network-attached storage (NAS), delivering effortless scalability, built-in security, and edge performance. With a unified administrative experience, it enables businesses to manage files across any location effortlessly, thereby increasing operational efficiency and risk mitigation. The pace of Nasuni's growth over the past year hints at a successful future, which the newly appointed leaders will undoubtedly contribute to significantly.
