LearnUpon appoints Fiona Sweeney as APAC Director

LearnUpon has announced the appointment of Fiona Sweeney as the new Director for the Asia-Pacific region.

This development indicates LearnUpon's commitment to strengthening its market presence in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in Australia. Sweeney's role will involve enhancing the company's growth strategy and expanding its influence as a Learning Management System provider.

LearnUpon has been operational in Australia for six years, and Sweeney's appointment showcases the company's ongoing investment in this market. Her responsibilities will include overseeing the implementation of LearnUpon's strategy and promoting its values and culture within the expanding APAC market.

Fiona Sweeney brings to the role more than 25 years of experience in the EdTech industry. Her previous positions include serving as the Director of Asia Pacific at Pluralsight, along with leadership roles at Skillsoft and Secure Code Warrior. She has extensive experience in managing high-performing teams across the globe.

Supporting Fiona's appointment, LearnUpon has increased its team in Australia by 50%. This expansion includes a dedicated local customer success and technology team that offers 24/7 support to LearnUpon's customers in the region.

LearnUpon has reported significant global growth in the past year. Originating from Dublin, the Learning Management System is now utilised in more than 40 countries, boasting over 1,500 customers, 20 million users, and 150 million completed courses. Additionally, there has been a notable year-over-year increase in unique monthly users, reflecting the expanding engagement levels of its customer base. Noteworthy clients in the APAC region include Montu, Morningstar, ACSO, Objective Corporation, and Healthcare Australia.
