Launch of Make AI Agents enhances no-code automation

Yesterday

Make has announced the launch of Make AI Agents, a new feature aimed at enhancing no-code automation by incorporating real-time decision-making capabilities into workflows.

The platform, used by over 200,000 businesses globally, offers a visual methodology for building and automating workflows.

Make AI Agents are now available in beta and represent an effort to integrate intelligent AI-driven decision-making into its existing automation framework.

Make's capabilities include allowing teams to connect apps, systems, and data to streamline their processes and eliminate repetitive tasks.

The newly introduced AI agents add an extra layer of sophistication, enabling workflows to adapt and respond dynamically to changing conditions without the need for pre-set rules.

"With Make AI Agents, automation moves into a new realm of intelligence and flexibility," said Fabian Veit, Chief Executive Officer at Make.

"When businesses can automate without rigid rules and setups, the capabilities are endless. Make AI Agents can be tailored and configured for different use cases, driving intelligent and efficient automated decision-making."

These AI agents are designed to use natural language processing to achieve context-aware decision making. This allows them to adjust workflows dynamically, checking the state of conditions and accessing various tools and applications in real-time to execute appropriate actions.

Anton Danilov, Vice President of Product at Make, emphasised the versatility and scalability of the new feature, stating: "Designed for users who want AI-powered adaptability, Make AI Agents can handle complex processes, scale quickly, and unlock entirely new ways to streamline operations."

"We built Make AI Agents to offer flexibility beyond rule-based workflows, adding a new level of intelligence to traditional automation. It's incredibly powerful, as reported by customers who've participated in our early access beta program.

This is automation that evolves with your business."

Make AI Agents can be employed across various workflows, customised to meet specific business needs, and integrated with over 2,000 apps and more than 30,000 actions.

The AI agents are designed to be user-friendly, with the option to choose different AI models, including those compatible with OpenAI technologies.

The beta release is currently available, with general access planned for all users shortly. This development represents a significant step in Make's ongoing efforts to empower its user base with flexible and intelligent automation solutions.

The introduction of Make AI Agents aligns with an "agentic" automation approach, allowing AI-driven applications to autonomously handle non-deterministic tasks and adapt to new conditions.

This conforms with Make's strategy to enhance innovation in automation further.

Key features of the AI agents include centralized global management, which reduces redundancy and improves oversight by allowing agents to be reused across multiple workflows.

They offer customization for specific use cases while maintaining a global system prompt for overall consistency.

The addition of these agents aims to give businesses more dynamic capabilities in managing their workflows, with the flexibility to adjust in real time based on the AI model chosen, including those compatible with OpenAI.
