In a significant move to propel its global ambitions, Education Perfect, a major player in the EdTech sector, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Morgan as its new Chief Executive Officer. Jonathan Morgan comes to the forefront with a remarkable 24 years of experience, having excelled in operational business roles. Moreover, he boasts a rich background in leading and bolstering the growth of Software as a Service (SaaS) businesses. Before his current appointment, Morgan held the position of Chief Growth Officer at Symend, an SaaS firm specialising in consumer behaviour analytics. His leadership prowess was further evident during his tenure of over a decade at OpenMarket, a cloud-based mobile messaging company, where he eventually rose to the helm as its CEO. Notably, Morgan's professional journey spans across key roles in global engineering, technology, and marketing sectors, traversing geographies like Australia, the U.S., and the U.K.
Speaking about the new appointment, Helen Souness, Board Chair at Education Perfect, conveyed her enthusiasm. "After an extensive global search for our new CEO, we were thrilled to meet Jonathan, a seasoned software as a service leader with experience growing companies, as well as leading highly engaged geographically dispersed teams.” She further highlighted Mr Morgan's alignment with the organisation's ethos, noting his resonance with the teacher community and the objective of enhancing the learning outcomes for K-12 students. With its eyes set on a larger global canvas, it currently serves over 5,000 schools and reaches out to approximately 1.8 million students worldwide. An overwhelming 98% of teachers acknowledge that Education Perfect's tools are tailored to suit the diverse needs of each student, ensuring both time efficiency for educators and enhanced learning results for pupils.
Mr Morgan, expressing gratitude for the opportunity and highlighting his personal connection to the educational sector, states, “I have a nine-year-old and a twelve-year-old in school, and my wife works in education as well.
