IT security solutions company Utimaco hires new COO
Utimaco has announced the hire of Hacan Tiwemark as its new Chief Operating Officer. Tiwemark has previously served as Utimaco's Vice President of Professional Service and Solutions.
Tiwemark will be charged with strengthening the company's service processes and service operations, ultimately transforming the company into a recurring-revenue service business. This is part of Utimaco's strategic ambition to significantly increase their Solution-as-a-Service business in the coming years.
Tiwemark brings to the role more than 25 years of experience in Solutions and Services, all the way from Solution design, Solution Sales, System Integration, Managed Services and operation of critical Cloud/ DC operations.
"I am hugely proud to have been chosen to lead this vital transition after what is a relatively short time at the company. Utimaco has arguably one of the most important tasks in the modern world, securing data, and throughout my career I have been witness to the change from security being a one-off expense handled purely in-house to a practice that blurs the lines between what is inside and outside the company in terms of expertise and is, crucially, built on lasting relationships rather simply being supplier and client," said Tiwemark.
"I am extremely gratified to be at a key position at this company during such a crucial time in their evolution."
CEO of Utimaco, Stefan Auerbach, said: "Utimaco is extremely pleased to welcome Hacan to our board during this time of exciting change at our company."
"We have seen him lead transformative change at many of our peers and in the past two years have greatly benefited from his leadership and insight. We are certain that he will be a major asset to the company as we transition to a service-based approach."
