Infosys launches AI-first model to transform global GCCs

Tue, 18th Nov 2025

Infosys has introduced a new model designed to help global enterprises transform their Global Capability Centres (GCCs) into scalable AI-enabled hubs. The AI-First GCC Model targets organisations aiming to embed artificial intelligence throughout their core operations, drawing on Infosys' experience with over 100 previous GCC engagements for companies including Lufthansa Systems, zooplus, and Danske Bank.

Transformation tools

The new model combines technology platforms such as Infosys Agentic Foundry, EdgeVerve AI Next, and Infosys Topaz, supporting GCCs from initial setup through to scale. The approach allows businesses to deploy production-grade AI agents across operations, with unified platform support to run applied and agentic AI at an enterprise level.

Infosys has already supported the development of GCCs for several major firms. One example is the Lufthansa Systems GCC, which focuses on utilising generative AI to improve aviation safety, operational efficiency, and the overall customer experience. Another is Danske Bank, where GCC capabilities have been leveraged for transformation across software delivery and multiple business domains.

Lifecycle management

The AI-First GCC Model provides end-to-end lifecycle management, including strategy development, site selection, entity setup, recruitment, and operational launch. Infosys also offers a variety of operational structures, from Build-Operate-Transfer to joint ventures and assisted GCC builds. Talent enablement is a core component, with the use of the Infosys Springboard digital learning platform and access to corporate university resources aimed at developing a sustainable pipeline of skills tailored to enterprise requirements.

Client perspectives
