Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has announced a collaboration with Accenture to enhance its AI Cloud offering through its subsidiary Lintasarta. This partnership aims to leverage the Accenture AI Refinery platform to build advanced AI solutions tailored for Indonesian enterprises, with an initial focus on the financial services sector.

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison's President Director and CEO, Vikram Sinha, articulated the company's strategic vision, stating, "At Indosat, we are deeply committed to supporting Indonesia's vision of becoming a digitally empowered nation by 2045, and see AI as a key enabler for both economic resilience and technological empowerment in Indonesia. This collaboration with Accenture and Lintasarta brings us closer to achieving that goal, as we combine global expertise with local market insights."

Senthil Ramani, Senior Managing Director and Global Data and AI lead at Accenture, highlighted the importance of maintaining data sovereignty while pursuing AI advancements. "With Accenture AI Refinery, we are supporting Indosat and Lintasarta's efforts to help Indonesian enterprises unlock unprecedented value from AI while adhering to local and industry regulations and ensuring that sensitive data remains within national borders. This is a significant step forward in the journey toward AI sovereignty," said Ramani.

The collaboration intends to provide AI solutions predominantly for Indonesia's financial services sector, a crucial aspect of the country's economy. Using the AI Refinery platform, Accenture plans to deliver modular pre-built solutions that can be customised based on client needs. These solutions help Indonesian banks enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth in a competitive market.

Bayu Hanantasena, President, Director, and CEO of Lintasarta, expressed optimism about the partnership's long-term implications. "Our partnership with Accenture marks a significant milestone in Indonesia's journey toward becoming a global AI powerhouse. Through our sovereign AI cloud program, we are building a platform that will not only support businesses across industries but also ensure the data sovereignty essential for our national interests," Hanantasena stated.

Greg Roberts, Senior Managing Director and Communications, Media and Technology Industry Group Lead for Accenture in Asia Pacific, elaborated on the infrastructural benefits. "Indosat and Lintasarta have been instrumental in developing the enterprise technology infrastructure that supports the growth of Indonesian businesses. The Sovereign AI cloud represents another milestone, combining Accenture's technology, global experience, and local talent to create a unique AI platform in Indonesia," said Roberts.

This collaboration aims to establish the country's first sovereign AI platform. By doing so, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Accenture hope to provide advanced AI solutions that align with local regulations and ensure data remains within national borders. The initiative is expected to drive transformative growth, innovation, and a more robust digital economy in Indonesia. Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison sees this collaboration as a step forward in its broader mission to empower Indonesia.
