Epicor & Climatiq partner to enhance ERP sustainability tools
Epicor has announced a collaboration with Climatiq Technologies GmbH to introduce advanced carbon intelligence calculations and reporting into its suite of Sustainability Management solutions. This partnership was revealed at the Epicor Insights Europe 2024 event and represents a significant step towards integrating sustainability into enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
The alliance aims to incorporate carbon calculations into Epicor's industry-specific ERP systems. By doing so, businesses will be able to access accurate, real-time carbon data, allowing them to track emissions and identify opportunities to reduce their carbon footprint. This initiative is designed to support businesses in achieving their sustainability goals without sacrificing profitability.
"We're excited to work with Climatiq to assist our customers in reaching their sustainability goals, and boosting profitability while reducing emissions," said Kerrie Jordan, Group Vice President of Product Management at Epicor. "I'm incredibly proud of our team's achievements in making this vision a reality."
Hessam Lavi, Co-founder and CEO at Climatiq, also commented on the collaboration. "Our collaboration with Epicor highlights our dedication to helping organisations integrate sustainability into their daily operations. This alliance is a major step forward towards removing the barriers that have historically kept sustainability data separate from business processes. Now, Epicor users can seamlessly align their economic, service, and environmental objectives."
The integration of Climatiq's carbon footprint calculation API across the Epicor portfolio aims to help businesses optimise supply chain processes and drive efficiencies. The advanced carbon intelligence capabilities will allow Epicor users to integrate sustainability into their daily business practices, helping them to meet regulatory requirements and enhance long-term competitiveness.
Epicor plans to roll out these new features in the coming month, with full implementation expected in 2025. The partnership underscores a growing trend in the industry, where companies are increasingly prioritising sustainability not just as a regulatory compliance issue but as a core element of their business strategy.
This development comes at a time when sustainability has become a critical focus for businesses around the world. As companies seek to reduce their environmental impact, the ability to accurately measure and manage carbon emissions is becoming increasingly important. The collaboration between Epicor and Climatiq aims to provide businesses with the tools they need to achieve these goals.
