Dynatrace extends automatic release validation capabilities
Software intelligence company Dynatrace has extended its platform release validation capabilities to automatically deliver user experience validation and user experience assurance (UXA) at every stage of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
By automatically incorporating user experience insights, including application availability, performance, and feature engagement, the Dynatrace platform allows DevOps and SRE teams to continuously evaluate their applications against specific, measurable, and achievable service level objectives (SLOs).
This empowers teams to automatically improve software quality and resiliency at any scale with significantly less manual effort.
Park N Fly senior director of information technology Ken Schirrmacher says ensuring his company's applications exceed its user's expectations is critical to its business success, and Dynatrace is key to its ability to achieve that.
"The platform automatically surfaces user experience insights at every stage of the development cycle, which is a gamechanger for our teams. This provides instant, continuous confirmation that our software hits the mark," he says.
"It has allowed us to ensure the highest quality user experience and release new features and functionality at the speed our customers demand, without sacrificing the quality of service."
These enhancements to the Dynatrace platform use data from simulated software testing processes that mimic real user engagement and end-to-end transactions. Dynatrace says Davis, the AI engine at the platform's core, automatically combines these test results with additional, comprehensive observability data to deliver instant and precise answers about user interactions with applications.
Dynatrace SVP of product management Steve Tack says without an actionable understanding of the user experience, DevOps and SRE teams can't meet the demand to accelerate innovation, maintain software quality and security, and deliver competitive digital services.
"This latest enhancement to Dynatrace automates time-consuming release validation processes and delivers immediate and precise insights into how users will experience an application once it's live," he says.
"Combining this functionality with the platform's extensive integrations with key DevSecOps tools enables teams to drive higher throughput, ensure the highest performance and security standards, and innovate with confidence to ensure a competitive edge."
This follows Dynatrace being named a Leader by Gartner in the 2022 Magic Quadrant for Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability. In addition, the company was also named a Leader in the 2022 GigaOm Radar for Cloud Observability Solutions because of its unique, comprehensive approach.
Dynatrace provides a unified software intelligence platform that combines broad and deep observability and continuous runtime application security with the most advanced AIOps to provide answers and intelligent automation from data at an enormous scale.
This enables innovators to modernise and automate cloud operations, deliver software faster and more securely, and ensure flawless digital experiences.
