Cloudera celebrates AI innovation & partnerships at EVOLVE25
Cloudera is set to recognise the achievements of 24 finalists in the 2025 Data Impact Awards, highlighting their work in leveraging Cloudera technology to advance artificial intelligence initiatives across industries.
This year's Data Impact Awards will feature five categories, focusing on areas such as analytics, hybrid infrastructure, open data lakehouse adoption, governance, and streaming data solutions. The awards form a key part of Cloudera's annual EVOLVE25 event in Singapore, which gathers customers, industry leaders, and technology partners to discuss developments in data management and AI.
Industry collaboration
The EVOLVE25 agenda offers breakout sessions and workshops led by representatives from sectors including financial services, telecommunications, oil, and retail. Attendees will examine the growing adoption of agentic AI, with sessions addressing prevalent challenges identified in Cloudera's recent global study, 'The Future of Enterprise AI Agents'.
The study found that 53% of enterprises highlight data privacy, 40% list integration hurdles, and 39% cite high implementation costs as major obstacles to effective AI adoption. Further context comes from a recent Gartner research note, which predicts that by 2027, over 40% of AI agent projects will be discontinued due to complexity and unsatisfactory returns on investment.
EVOLVE25 aims to demonstrate practical approaches to overcoming these issues with presentations on comprehensive AI platforms and how they can accelerate the deployment and management of intelligent agents, particularly when dealing with unstructured data at scale.
Company leadership and partners
Cloudera CEO Charles Sansbury, Chief Revenue Officer Frank O'Dowd, newly appointed Chief Product Officer Leo Brunnick, and Chief Technology Officer Sergio Gago will meet customers, partners, and industry experts during the event. Sponsors include Amazon Web Services, Dell and NVIDIA at a global level, with Tech Data, NCS Group and StarRocks supporting Asian markets.
"As AI and data analytics become an undeniable necessity across enterprises, it's important to showcase the successful use-cases and offer hands-on training to understand the full benefits of the technology," said Charles Sansbury, CEO of Cloudera. "EVOLVE25, one of the world's most comprehensive data and AI event series, provides a unique opportunity for customers, partners, and innovative leaders to collaborate and network, looking ahead to what's next in data management, analytics, and AI."
Alongside the customer awards, Cloudera acknowledged key partners during its annual Partner Preview. Recognised were IBM Consulting as APAC Strategic Partner of the Year, KPMG as APAC Emerging Partner of the Year, Cap Gemini as Southeast Asia Partner of the Year, and AWS as APAC Cloud Partner of the Year.
"In the era of AI-driven innovation, organizations must move beyond experimentation and bring AI to life across every layer of their business," said Remus Lim, Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan at Cloudera. "At EVOLVE25 in Singapore, we are bringing together visionaries and practitioners who are already operationalizing AI at scale across any environment. Together with partners IBM Consulting, KPMG, Cap Gemini, and AWS, we're building a powerful ecosystem that helps enterprises unlock the full value of their data. The future belongs to those who can act on all their data securely, responsibly, and in real time. This is not just about building AI; it's about building trust, impact, and resilience into the heart of every AI-driven decision."
Product enhancements and customer adoption
During EVOLVE25, Cloudera will highlight the general availability of Data Services, noting performance and security improvements for on-premises clients. Key enhancements include Cloudera AI Inference, enhanced certificate management, improved AI Workbench functionality, upgrades to data engineering access controls, Hive query history capabilities, and a reduction in commonly reported vulnerabilities.
Bank Negara Indonesia has adopted Cloudera AI Inferencing powered by on-premises NVIDIA NIM. Full deployment is expected by the end of 2025, with Cloudera and NVIDIA collaborating to ensure that the platform meets organisational performance, compliance, and resilience needs.
Krutrim, a sovereign cloud platform based in India, is working with Cloudera to provide analytics and data lake services for Ola Group across India through the Krutrim Cloud.
Diversity, inclusion and community support
EVOLVE25 will also feature a 'Women Leaders in Technology' session under the theme 'Accelerate Action, Accelerate Innovation', designed to convene voices from different sectors to consider technical advances and leadership strategies in AI.
Beyond its technology initiatives, Cloudera continues to back social impact projects. Globally, the company is working with Mercy Corps through the Tech To The Rescue – AI for Changemakers programme to build an AI-enabled tool, Methods Matcher, facilitating faster and more informed decisions for aid workers during emergencies. In Singapore, Cloudera Cares supported Assisi Hospice's Christmas Tree Light-Up initiative, spending time with patients, staff, and caregivers. Representatives from Assisi Hospice will also be present at EVOLVE25 to raise awareness of their work.
