Leadership hires

Bedrock Data has appointed Vikram Arwade, Corinna Krueger and Amy Greenberg to senior leadership roles following its USD $25 million Series A funding round.

The Menlo Park-based data security and governance company named Arwade Vice President of Engineering, Krueger Vice President of Marketing and Greenberg Head of Revenue Operations. The appointments come as businesses increase spending on artificial intelligence tools and face greater scrutiny over how data is managed across cloud and software systems.

Bedrock Data sells software for data security posture management, AI data security and governance. Customers are seeking stronger oversight as AI adoption spreads faster than existing security controls in large organisations.

AI governance

That demand has shaped the company's recent expansion. Alongside new funding from Greylock Partners and a strategic investment from Snowflake Ventures, Bedrock Data has deepened integrations with Snowflake, Atlassian and Google, and launched ArgusAI for governance in AI agents and generative AI systems.

Arwade brings nearly two decades of engineering experience, with previous roles at Riverbed Technology, Cohesity, Chronicled, Opaque Systems and Veritas/Symantec. He will lead the engineering team as Bedrock Data develops and scales its platform for data discovery, classification and AI governance.

His background centres on building systems for large, complex data estates across a range of enterprise environments. That experience will support Bedrock Data as it responds to rising customer demand for tools that can identify and assess sensitive information across broad datasets.

"At enterprises, the challenge is finding sensitive data and being able to analyze it in place at petabyte scale, across a wide variety of data types and complex environments. Most approaches break down when dealing with the vast data variety and volume," said Vikram Arwade, Vice President of Engineering, Bedrock Data.

"What stood out to me about Bedrock Data is the platform's ability to handle that complexity. The demand the company is seeing from enterprises tells me the market is ready, and I'm looking forward to scaling both the team and the platform to match it," added Arwade.

Market expansion

Krueger has more than 15 years of experience in B2B marketing across cybersecurity and cloud infrastructure companies in the US and EMEA. Her previous roles include PerimeterX, Cotendo and SafeBreach.

She will oversee demand generation, product marketing, communications, field marketing and brand activity. Bedrock Data is seeking to expand its market presence as businesses reassess data security practices around AI use and the movement of sensitive information between applications and platforms.

"As enterprises scale AI, their risk surface is expanding beyond what traditional data security approaches were built to handle," said Corinna Krueger, Vice President of Marketing, Bedrock Data.

"It's no longer enough to know where sensitive data lives. CISOs and their teams need to understand how it can be accessed, combined and acted on across systems, including AI. What makes Bedrock Data compelling is the ability to bring that level of understanding and control together, so organizations can scale AI without adding new risk. I'm excited to build the marketing engine that drives adoption of this approach across the enterprise market," she added.

Greenberg joined from MongoDB, where she spent more than a decade and rose to Director of Global Security Business Operations. Her work there covered sales enablement, product marketing, go-to-market strategy and security operations.

At Bedrock Data, she will lead revenue operations, aligning internal systems and processes as the company expands. The role is intended to support sales and marketing activity and create a more structured operating model during a period of growth.

Growth strategy

Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Bruno Kurtic said the company was adding leaders with experience managing expansion during demanding market shifts.

"We're seeing a clear shift in how enterprises are thinking about data and AI, and the demand for solutions that can keep up is accelerating quickly," said Bruno Kurtic, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, Bedrock Data.

"To meet that demand, we're investing across engineering, go-to-market and operations with leaders who have scaled through this kind of growth before. Vikram, Corinna and Amy bring the operating experience to execute at the pace our customers need," he added.

Greenberg said Bedrock Data had reached a stage that required more formal operating foundations.

"What stood out to me about Bedrock Data is the combination of strong demand and the opportunity to build the operational foundation to scale it," said Amy Greenberg, Head of Revenue Operations, Bedrock Data.

"I spent years building operational foundations at MongoDB during periods of rapid growth, and I see a similar inflection point here at Bedrock Data. As the company grows, my focus is on aligning systems and processes so our teams can execute and scale and we have the infrastructure in place to support that growth and make it repeatable," she added.
