Auctane appoints Ciubotariu as CTO & Lombardi as CFO

Auctane has announced the appointment of Nick Ciubotariu as Chief Technology Officer and Sal Lombardi as Chief Financial Officer.

Nick Ciubotariu, joining Auctane as Chief Technology Officer, brings over two decades of experience in the technology sector, having held significant roles at prominent companies such as Nasdaq, PayPal, Amazon, and Microsoft. His career has been marked by a focus on the development and execution of technology strategies, particularly in high-growth environments. At Auctane, Ciubotariu's experience in scalable, complex technologies will be crucial in meeting the expanding needs of the company's large customer base. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Global Enterprise Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Assets at Nasdaq. Ciubotariu has also played vital roles at PayPal, where he was the CTO of Product Technology, and at Amazon and Microsoft, contributing to solutions such as Venmo, Checkout, Amazon Search, Alexa Messaging, and AWS Rekognition.

He joins from C1, where he was CFO, a firm focused on AI-powered security, infrastructure, and communications. His previous experience encompasses two decades of various senior roles at cxLoyalty. Lombardi has been noted for his success in shaping corporate strategies, fostering company growth, and enhancing enterprise value.
