Anchora unveils new leadership to drive APAC tech expansion
Anchora has introduced a new leadership structure to support its expansion in the Asia-Pacific region amid increasing demand for integrated marketing technology and artificial intelligence solutions.
Sambhav Jain has been named Chief Technology Officer, taking responsibility for uniting Anchora's capabilities in content, data, customer journey, and AI under a single strategic direction. At the same time, co-founder Max Barrass will assume the newly established role of Chief Innovation Officer. This position will focus on identifying forward-looking initiatives and working with clients to stay ahead of fast-moving changes in the technology and marketing sectors.
Anchora's Chief Executive Officer, Luke Evans, stated that the leadership changes are directly aligned with the consultancy's current momentum and future goals. "This restructure is a natural progression for us. We've grown quickly, and this next phase is about ensuring we stay responsive and purposeful. It positions us to scale in a way that aligns with what our clients need - congruent thinking, clear accountability and real results."
The restructure comes as Anchora has reported maintaining 30% year-on-year growth, outpacing its original forecasts by 12 months. The consultancy's client portfolio includes organisations such as Spark NZ, Colonial First State, Malaysia Airlines, and RACQ, reflecting its expanding reach and steady delivery capability throughout the APAC region.
Jain expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities presented by his new responsibilities. "This is a big step forward for Anchora and I'm thrilled to take on the CTO role as we enter this next phase. What excites me most is the chance to bring our tech capabilities closer together - including the use of AI. Aligning how we work across teams so we can move faster, think bigger and scale smarter will power us forward."
Barrass's new position as Chief Innovation Officer is designed to accelerate the consultancy's ability to adapt and create distinctive solutions in partnership with its clients. Barrass said: "Anchora's always been able to punch above its weight. This gives us more firepower to experiment, evolve and build smarter, faster solutions with our clients. We have always been an organisation that prides itself on differentiation, this role will accelerate that trajectory."
The leadership changes also align with Anchora's broader commitment to sustainable growth and enhanced diversity. Currently, women represent a third of the company's senior leadership team, reflecting a focus on varied perspectives in decision-making and strategy formulation.
