ADLINK unveils cost-effective IMB-C Value Series motherboards

Tue, 6th Aug 2024

ADLINK Technology has announced the launch of the IMB-C Value Series ATX motherboards. The new series aims to provide a cost-effective alternative for users requiring reliable performance without a substantial financial investment. The motherboards support a range of Intel Core processors from the 10th to the 14th generation, making them versatile for various applications.

The IMB-C value series extends ADLINK's IMB series motherboards by introducing more affordable options. These new models include features such as DDR4 memory, PCIe 4.0, 2.5 GbE, and USB 3.0. These specifications cater to industries such as warehousing, industrial automation, smart manufacturing, and new energy, where robust and reliable performance is essential.

ADLINK's IMB-C series is tailored to budget-sensitive projects, offering performance without compromising essential features. The new models support DDR4 and PCIe 4.0, marking a divergence from the IMB-M series, which supports the more advanced DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 for top-tier performance needs. The IMB-C series aims to meet the demands of cost efficiency while still delivering solid performance.

The IMB-C46 and IMB-C46H models within the series come equipped with the Q470 and H420E chipsets, respectively, optimised for 10th-gen Intel Core processors. For higher performance requirements, ADLINK offers the IMB-M47 and IMB-M47H models, equipped with the Q670 and H610 chipsets, supporting 12th to 14th-gen Intel Core processors.

HC. Lin, Product Manager of Edge Computing Platforms at ADLINK, commented on the launch: "The IMB-C series broadens our ATX motherboard lineup to include budget-conscious models that maintain our standard for durability without the hefty price tag. By leveraging the latest technology with more conservative specifications, we've achieved an optimal balance. The series includes essential features for industrial applications such as PCIe, 2.5GbE, and a range of Intel Core processors while keeping costs low with DDR4 and PCIe 4.0."

According to Lin, the new series is also fully compatible with ADLINK's pre-validated expansion cards, designed for motion, vision, and I/O. This compatibility simplifies system integration and accelerates deployment, making the IMB-C Value Series an attractive option for various industrial applications.

The IMB-C series motherboards provide up to 128GB of DDR4 memory, PCIe x16, multiple PCI or PCIe slots, and 2.5 GbE LAN. These specifications enhance productivity and foster innovation, particularly in Edge AI applications. By employing well-established technology rather than the latest options, the IMB-C series ensures a balance of reliability and cost-effectiveness.

The launch signifies ADLINK's commitment to offering high-quality, affordable solutions that meet a wide range of industrial needs. The IMB-C Value Series delivers necessary performance metrics while remaining budget-friendly, broadening the accessibility of advanced computing solutions to various sectors.
