Nanogirl stories

Nanogirl is a passionate advocate for science and technology, focusing on empowering the younger generation and promoting inclusivity in these fields. One of her contributions includes educating New Zealand's parliament members on coding together with twelve-year-old Amelia Lockley, to boost digital literacy both among politicians and the country's youth.

Her efforts to enthuse and educate extend internationally, as evidenced by her live science show, 'Nanogirl Live!', which brought vibrant and engaging scientific demonstrations to the Abu Dhabi Festival, aiming to inspire a global audience.

Within New Zealand, Nanogirl is a strong proponent for gender diversity in the tech industry, actively encouraging more girls to embark on technology-related careers to foster a gender-balanced workforce.

During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nanogirl's team initiated an online STEM learning programme. This platform was designed to support the educational needs of self-isolated Kiwi children, ensuring that learning continues despite the lockdown.
