Founded as Apple Computer Company in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne, Apple Inc. is the world's largest technology provider when it comes to revenue and market capitalisation. What started as a project to build an 8-bit desktop computer has since grown into an extensive, worldwide portfolio of products, ranging from laptops and smartphones to smartwatches and listening devices. It was also the first publicly traded U.S. company to be valued at over USD$1 trillion in August 2018, then $2 trillion in August 2020, and most recently $3 trillion in January 2022.
