Yotpo appoints Adam Ioakim as General Manager for Asia-Pacific

Mon, 9th Oct 2023

Yotpo, a global leader in the retention marketing platform field, has announced the appointment of Adam Ioakim as the General Manager for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The move is part of the firm's strategy to strengthen its growth in APAC, reflecting Ioakim's industry expertise across global organisations over the past 15 years, most recently at Klaviyo - a global technology company specialised in marketing automation solutions.

Previously, Ioakim held the position of Vice President and Managing Director for APAC at Klaviyo. His vast responsibilities encompassed setting up Klaviyo's inaugural APAC office in Sydney, recruiting the foundational team, and successfully implementing the company's global strategy. This entailed acquiring new logo designs, retaining customers, and expanding the partnership ecosystem. Prior to this, Ioakim was Managing Director for APAC at Emarsys, an SAP company, and provider of marketing software.

In his new capacity at Yotpo, Ioakim will focus on driving growth across the region and expanding the Yotpo team. He will lead the 'go to market' teams, concentrating on strengthening relationships with retailers and the partner ecosystem throughout the APAC region.

Yotpo's Chief Operating Officer, Asaf Frige, expresses his pleasure regarding the new hire, "We are delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Ioakim as our new General Manager for the APAC region. This is a pivotal step in our commitment to fostering growth and innovation across this market."

Frige continues to reveal his confidence in Ioakim's ability to guide the company's mission, "At Yotpo, we firmly believe in the power of retention marketing platforms to accelerate revenue growth and create lifetime customer value. With Adam's guidance and previous experience, we are confident that Yotpo will continue to expand its footprint across the Asia Pacific region to drive unprecedented success."

Ioakim himself also expressed enthusiasm about his move, stating that "The concept of retention marketing is not new, however Yotpo is in a unique position to bring all post-purchase customer interactions together in one place." He further shared his excitement about introducing an Email solution to the platform, which will complement existing products like Reviews, Loyalty, SMS and Subscription. This unification of customer data is poised to provide e-commerce brands with valuable insights and tangible results, he added.

Yotpo, based in Sydney, New York, London and Sofia, provides a variety of services, including advanced email and SMS marketing, loyalty, referrals, subscriptions, reviews, and visual UGC for retailers. With over 100,000 customers worldwide, it's seen as a reliable platform that helps brands of all sizes drive sustainable growth through personalised customer experiences.
