Xiaomi SU7 Ultra EV joins Gran Turismo 7 car roster
Xiaomi will add its SU7 Ultra electric saloon to Gran Turismo 7, marking the carmaker's first appearance in the long-running racing game series developed by Polyphony Digital.
The vehicle will be added to the game in Update 1.67 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Polyphony Digital is a subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Gran Turismo has built its reputation on licensed cars and a driving model that aims for realism. The addition places Xiaomi's new flagship EV alongside established performance brands that have traditionally dominated the franchise's vehicle list.
Game partnership
Polyphony Digital Producer Kazunori Yamauchi test drove the SU7 Ultra at several circuits and locations. These included Beijing, the Nürburgring Nordschleife and Tsukuba Circuit, according to Xiaomi.
Xiaomi said the two teams worked on a digital version of the car for the game. Xiaomi said its vehicle dynamics performance team visited Polyphony Digital's studio in Fukuoka for final validation of the in-game driving experience.
The companies also plan to host a two-week lap-time challenge at Monza in Gran Turismo 7. Players will use the SU7 Ultra in the event.
Vehicle details
Xiaomi describes the SU7 Ultra as the high-performance flagship of Xiaomi EV. The model uses a Dual V8s + V6s Xiaomi Hyper Tri-Motor system that the company says it developed in-house.
Xiaomi lists a combined maximum output of 1,548 horsepower and 1,770 N·m of torque. It pairs the drivetrain with an 800V electrical platform.
The company states a 0-100 km/h time of 1.98 seconds without a one-foot rollout. Xiaomi also cites a CLTC driving range of 630 km.
The SU7 Ultra supports fast charging from 10% to 80% in 11 minutes, according to the company. Xiaomi also outlined chassis components, including a double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link rear suspension. It uses dual-chamber air springs and adaptive dampers, Xiaomi said.
Nürburgring claim
Xiaomi has promoted the SU7 Ultra with a lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The company said a production version of the car completed a lap of 7:04.957 when fitted with an optional Track Package.
Xiaomi described the run as a record for electric executive vehicles at the circuit. The company linked the result to its powertrain, chassis torque-vectoring control, and aerodynamic design.
Broader push
The Gran Turismo appearance adds visibility for Xiaomi's automotive efforts outside China, as the company positions its "Human × Car × Home" strategy around connected devices and vehicles.
Xiaomi said it has shown the SU7 Ultra in markets and regions including Spain, Singapore, Japan and Berlin. The company said the car drew attention from automotive professionals and enthusiasts during those displays.
Xiaomi is best known internationally for smartphones and consumer electronics. It said its global monthly active users reached approximately 741.7 million in September 2025 across smartphones and tablets.
Xiaomi also reported approximately 1,035.5 million smart devices connected to its platform as of 30 September 2025, excluding smartphones, laptops and tablets. The company sells products in more than 100 countries and regions and sits on Hong Kong's stock exchange.
Polyphony Digital continues to expand Gran Turismo 7's car list through regular updates, with the SU7 Ultra set to appear as part of that release schedule.
