Vertiv celebrates partners & launches AI hub at Asia summit

Wed, 24th Jul 2024

Vertiv recently wrapped up its Asia Channel Summit, which took place from 30 June to 3 July 2024 at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Resort in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Over 200 attendees, including industry leaders, channel partners, distributors, and government stakeholders, participated in the event, which featured a series of insightful sessions, networking opportunities, cultural activities, and a partner awards ceremony.

Themed "Vertiv Velocity," the summit focused on the company's latest power and cooling innovations aimed at advancing the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI). The conference underscored Vertiv’s commitment to customer-centric innovations, especially in a market where IT professionals increasingly require solutions to power and cool high-density critical digital equipment. A significant highlight was the launch of the Vertiv AI Hub, which provides strategic resources to expedite the modernisation of data centres to support AI and high-performance computing (HPC) services and applications.

Vertiv's extensive range of products, solutions, and services enables channel partners to bridge the gap between IT and critical digital infrastructure, supporting AI deployment and high-density computing. Vertiv’s collaborations with AI chip manufacturers such as NVIDIA and Intel demonstrate its expertise in this area.

His Excellency Kong Vibol, Cambodia’s Secretary of State, Ministry of Economy and Finance, and vice-chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), delivered the keynote message during the plenary session. He highlighted the crucial role technology plays in powering today’s society and how Cambodia is quickly adapting to technological advancements for development.

The Vertiv Partner Awards Ceremony honoured partners who have been instrumental in delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers in the region. The gala dinner provided a platform to acknowledge and celebrate these partners' exceptional achievements and invaluable contributions in 2023.

Daniel Sim, Senior Director for IT Distribution and Partners at Vertiv Asia, said, "This year's summit recognised our partners' contributions and sought to build stronger connections and diversity as we celebrated against the backdrop of beautiful Cambodia. We especially enjoyed the historical tours of the temples of Angkor Wat and Ta Phrom and our participation in our local CSR activities to give back and help the local Khmer children and their families. Together, let us forge stronger relationships and friendships between our partners and the Vertiv team across the region."
