Teradata has announced the integration of DataRobot's AI Platform with its VantageCloud and ClearScape Analytics services. This move is designed to provide enterprise customers with enhanced optionality, flexibility, and access to a comprehensive suite of tools for building and scaling effective AI models.
The integration is set to offer a variety of features and benefits aimed at data scientists and enterprises. Data scientists will be able to continue using their preferred tools and technologies, leveraging DataRobot's AI lifecycle platform, which is built for both predictive and generative AI models. At the same time, enterprises will benefit from the ability to deploy these AI models securely and at scale, across all cloud providers and on-premises environments.
A significant feature of this integration is the Bring Your Own Model (BYOM) capability. This allows users to import and scale DataRobot models within Teradata's VantageCloud using ClearScape Analytics' model scoring functions, without incurring additional licence costs. This functionality is expected to help enterprises unlock data and results faster, subsequently accelerating the pace of AI innovation within their organisations.
"DataRobot is known for its top-tier and accurate models, and VantageCloud delivers the incredible scale and efficiency that modern enterprises require," said Daniel Spurling, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Teradata. "Together, broad model output can be explainable, governed, and actionable. AI potential is increasing rapidly, and Teradata and DataRobot are paving the way for organisations to accelerate adoption of Trusted AI, at a scale that matters."
Spurling further highlighted how VantageCloud, ClearScape Analytics, and DataRobot are set to make advanced analytics more accessible across enterprises, allowing for scalable AI operationalisation. "Using BYOM, users of VantageCloud and DataRobot have access to models built in their DataRobot AI Platform, from within VantageCloud. This includes importing DataRobot models into VantageCloud for inferencing at scale using ClearScape Analytics model scoring functions. As a result, DataRobot models can be scaled easily and cost-effectively for Teradata VantageCloud users as there is no additional licence cost," he added.
Venky Veeraraghavan, Chief Product Officer at DataRobot, also expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. "We are thrilled to join forces with Teradata to bring enhanced value to our customers across industries," he said. "Our collaboration further empowers businesses to accelerate their AI journey with the flexibility, optionality, and rapid speed they need to move from experimentation to deployment safely and with confidence. Together, Teradata and DataRobot are empowering enterprises to unlock the full potential of their data assets and thrive in the era of AI-driven transformation."
DataRobot's AI Platform is designed to offer a complete lifecycle management solution for AI, including capabilities for generating predictive models and managing their deployment and scaling. Meanwhile, Teradata's VantageCloud and ClearScape Analytics aim to deliver scalable, secure, and governable analytics environments. The integration between these platforms is anticipated to provide enterprises with more robust options for handling and maximising the value of their data assets.
Teradata Vantage and ClearScape Analytics functionalities with DataRobot's AI Platform are now available. The new offerings promise to deliver significant enhancements in the way enterprises can handle AI deployments, providing a seamless, integrated solution that addresses the pressing need for scalable and secure AI model management.
