Syspro names Tom Loeffert as Chief Human Resources Officer

Wed, 22nd Apr 2026 (Yesterday)

Syspro has appointed Tom Loeffert as Chief Human Resources Officer, adding a new senior executive to the ERP software group's leadership team.

He will lead the company's global people strategy as Syspro reshapes its management line-up under Chief Executive Officer Leanne Taylor. His remit includes building an organisation that can scale with the next phase of growth.

The appointment follows recent leadership changes, including Taylor's move into the chief executive role. Syspro, which sells ERP software to manufacturing and distribution companies, has also expanded its platform over the past year.

Loeffert brings more than 25 years of experience in human resources and business leadership. He has held roles at SAP, GSK and Fortive, and most recently served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Kyriba.

His background spans multinational organisations and operational environments undergoing technological change. That experience will be applied to workforce planning and organisational development across Syspro's international operations.

Syspro is placing greater emphasis on workplace culture as it adapts to changes in how software businesses operate. That includes how staff are organised, how teams work across regions and how management responds as artificial intelligence becomes more widely used in business functions.

Loeffert said those shifts were a factor in his decision to join.

"What excited me about joining Syspro was the opportunity to help scale and transform how the business operates in the age of AI," said Tom Loeffert, Chief Human Resources Officer, Syspro.

"As technology reshapes how work gets done, building a culture where people feel equipped, confident and connected is essential. My initial focus will be on listening, understanding the business and our customers, and working with the team to strengthen how we operate and deliver," he said.

Leadership focus

Syspro's latest senior appointment suggests the company is placing greater weight on internal organisation alongside product development. Human resources leadership has become more prominent at software companies balancing expansion, retention and shifting skills demand.

For ERP vendors serving industrial sectors, that challenge can be more acute because customers often expect stable service, specialist knowledge and long-term product support. Companies in this market are also under pressure to adapt their own operations while advising clients on digital change.

Syspro frames its internal culture around what it calls its "True Pros" ethos. Taylor linked that approach to how the company works with customers and how employees work with one another.

"Syspro's True Pros ethos defines how the organisation shows up for customers and for each other. It is built on clarity, accountability and a commitment to delivering outcomes that matter. As the company continues to scale, strengthening this culture will be critical to sustaining performance and supporting long-term growth," said Leanne Taylor, Chief Executive Officer, Syspro.

Loeffert's appointment also adds an executive with experience across both Europe and the United States. He is a dual UK-US national, bringing an international perspective to leadership in complex organisations.

Syspro has not outlined any broader management changes alongside the hire. The focus for the new Chief Human Resources Officer is on listening to employees and customers, understanding current operations, and refining how teams are organised and supported.

That places workforce strategy near the centre of Syspro's next phase under its new chief executive, as the software provider seeks to align its organisational structure with its broader business direction.
