StarHub marks 25 years with celebrations & NBA streaming offer

Today

StarHub is marking its 25th anniversary, reflecting on its role in advancing Singapore's digital landscape and announcing a series of activities and entertainment offerings for customers and the community.

Since its establishment in 2000, StarHub has served millions of customers, supported businesses, and delivered technology designed to simplify and enhance daily life in Singapore.

"This milestone is about the people who have been part of our story - our customers, employees, partners and community," said Nikhil Eapen, Chief Executive Officer, StarHub. "Over the last 25 years, we've grown by staying close to the people we serve and adapting to what matters most. As we look ahead, we're building on that foundation to deliver simpler, smarter, more impactful and more delightful experiences, grounded in the everyday needs of our customers."

StarHub highlighted its introduction of mobile and broadband services to the Singapore market, as well as more recent advancements such as 5G, streaming, and enterprise solutions. The company states that its focus has always been "making technology work better for people - accessible, seamless and relevant to everyday life."

For the business sector, StarHub has positioned itself as a digital partner for organisations seeking transformation in an increasingly digital-first environment, aiming to enable clients to concentrate on their core work by providing various technology solutions.

To commemorate the quarter-century milestone, anniversary festivities began with a balloon hunt event at StarHub Green, engaging employees in celebratory activities. These festivities extended to various locations around Singapore, including Tampines Mall, Launchpad @ one-north, NEX, and Republic Polytechnic. The company organised interactive hunts at each site, giving participants the opportunity to win prizes such as electronic gadgets and unique experiences.

Between 1 April and 30 June, StarHub is offering chances for both new and existing customers to win one of 75 prizes. Existing customers are entered automatically, while new sign-ups and those renewing contracts are also eligible. StarHub described this as a gesture of appreciation and an invitation for the public to participate in their celebrations.

As part of its continued focus on entertainment, StarHub has commenced streaming the 2025 NBA Postseason on StarHub TV. Basketball fans in Singapore can access playoff games through the Sports+ pass, with options to view matches live or on-demand. The intention is to allow customers to watch NBA content across several devices, ensuring they will not miss significant moments of the season.

Additionally, StarHub noted the upcoming "Football for All" Carnival scheduled for May, which is set to feature as another major element in its efforts to deliver live sports content and experiences to fans throughout Singapore.

StarHub stated that these initiatives are designed to thank Singaporeans for their role in the company's progress and to continue delivering services and experiences that respond to customer interests and needs.
