SIOS & DataHub Nepal boost business resilience with new deal
SIOS Technology has entered into a strategic partnership with DataHub Nepal to deliver high-availability and disaster recovery solutions to businesses in Nepal.
This collaboration focuses on improving the availability and resilience of mission-critical applications, supporting business continuity across the region. DataHub Nepal, which provides co-location, hosting, data centre services, cloud, and managed services, will work with SIOS Technology to offer enhanced high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for its business customers.
Deepak Shrestha, Managing Director, DataHub Nepal, said, "Our strategic partnership with SIOS Technology has significantly enhanced our ability to deliver proven, robust, and cost-effective HA and DR solutions. Businesses throughout Nepal can now operate with greater resilience, confident that their critical data and operations are protected by our cutting-edge HA/DR services."
DataHub Nepal has been operating for over a decade, providing secure and scalable infrastructure designed for business continuity. The company's services include Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Private Cloud, Backup and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), and Web Application Firewall (WAF), all aimed at providing customers with the ability to maintain operations during unforeseen disruptions.
The partnership with SIOS Technology will extend HA and DR offerings to industries such as banking, financial services, ICT, fintech, and small to medium-sized enterprises. This broader delivery of services will help organisations across Nepal protect their operational data and minimise downtime.
DataHub Nepal utilises the SIOS Protection Suite for both Windows and Linux environments, deploying SIOS clustering to meet the specific service-level agreements (SLAs) required by customers' business continuity plans. The SIOS solution is designed to deliver reliability and minimal downtime while protecting against false failovers, matching DataHub's requirements for business continuity and disaster recovery.
The company found that implementing the SIOS HA solution helped customers reduce costs by more than 70%, mainly because they no longer needed to purchase expensive storage area network (SAN) hardware or enterprise editions of applications such as SQL, Oracle Databases, and SAP. Cost-effectiveness is noted as a key factor influencing customer decisions to select SIOS, in addition to the dependability of its software and support.
Masahiro Arai, Chief Operating Officer, SIOS Technology, stated, "We are excited to partner with DataHub Nepal to deliver high availability and disaster recovery solutions that meet the critical needs of businesses throughout the region. This collaboration underscores our commitment to providing dependable, cost-effective solutions that enable customers to achieve their business continuity goals with confidence."
The collaboration between SIOS Technology and DataHub Nepal is positioned to provide businesses across Nepal with enhanced protection for their critical applications, aiming to reduce operational risks associated with service interruptions and data loss.
