Sertis, Toto Sugiri launch AI & data venture in Indonesia

Mon, 12th Jan 2026

Sertis and data centre executive Toto Sugiri have set up a new joint venture in Indonesia under the name PT Sertis Teknologi Indonesia.

Sertis said it established the company in collaboration with Sugiri, who also serves as Founder and CEO of DCI Indonesia. DCI Indonesia operates data centres in the country.

The partners framed the venture around rising demand for digital services in Indonesia and greater use of artificial intelligence across multiple industries. They pointed to sectors including retail, finance, agriculture and energy.

Local presence

Sertis said PT Sertis Teknologi Indonesia gives it a local base in the market. The company said it plans to expand deployments of its AI and data products in Indonesia through the venture.

Sertis said its work in the region includes AI-driven platforms such as Knowledge Management AI, private large language models, and Insight Hub for Retail. The company said organisations already use these products across industries including banking, retail, energy, and manufacturing.

The new venture also links Sertis with an on-shore infrastructure provider. DCI Indonesia has built data centre capacity in Indonesia and works with local and international companies, according to the announcement.

Infrastructure focus

The announcement placed emphasis on security and governance. Sertis said it intends to align implementations with security, compliance, and governance standards. The company also referenced local regulations and global best practices.

Sugiri has built DCI Indonesia's business around data centre infrastructure in Indonesia. Sertis described him as a pioneer in the country's data centre industry and linked that role to the development of on-shore digital infrastructure.

The partners said they plan to combine AI services with local infrastructure. They said the objective includes offering solutions designed for the Indonesian market and addressing security and compliance requirements.

Retail featured prominently in the companies' description of potential use cases. They linked the venture to operational performance and efficiency in that sector.

"Through this partnership, we are building AI solutions that strengthen operational excellence in sectors such as retail, where improvements in quality and efficiency directly translate into better outcomes for consumers," said Toto Sugiri, Founder & CEO of DCI Indonesia.

Indonesia has seen increasing investment in data centres and cloud infrastructure over recent years. Businesses and government agencies have also explored domestic hosting arrangements alongside international cloud services.

"It reflects our shared commitment to advancing Indonesia's digital economy through solutions that deliver real and lasting impact," said Sugiri.

Regional track record

Sertis, founded in Thailand, said it has worked on AI and data deployments across Southeast Asia. It said it has delivered more than 400 AI and data deployments.

The company said its projects span multiple industries. It listed retail, manufacturing, banking and finance, energy, and security.

DCI Indonesia operates as a data centre provider in Indonesia. The company said it holds Tier IV certification and follows global standards, with a focus on secure and reliable infrastructure.

"DCI is a world‐class firm, and Pak Toto is an exceptional entrepreneur. We share his long‐term vision for growing Indonesia's digital economy," said Thuchakorn Vachiramon, CEO of Sertis.

"Across ASEAN, Sertis has helped businesses capture real value from AI, and we're bringing that AI expertise to Indonesia, tailored to the local context and supported by best-in-class on‐shore infrastructure," said Vachiramon.

Sertis and Sugiri said PT Sertis Teknologi Indonesia will act as a bridge between AI expertise and Indonesia's data centre market as local organisations expand their use of AI systems and related data platforms.
