SEEK unifies systems with Workday for streamlined growth

Thu, 17th Oct 2024

SEEK has adopted Workday Financials and Human Capital Management (HCM) as part of an effort to unify its operations across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.

The online employment marketplace seeks to streamline its systems and processes to foster better collaboration and data-driven decisions. By selecting the Workday platform, SEEK aims to have a more integrated approach to managing its workforce and financial operations, thus creating a single source of truth. This consolidation is intended to offer management greater oversight and facilitate easier collaboration across locations.

Lisa Tobin, Managing Director of Technology at SEEK, stated, "Both finance and HR rely heavily on accurate and timely data to make intelligent decisions. Implementing Workday has provided a future-proofed foundation for these data driven decisions, informed by real-time data and one source of the truth. This foundation really provides a strong platform for informed decision-making today and into the future."

Jo-Anne Ruhl, Vice President and Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at Workday, commented on the partnership, stating, "SEEK goes hand-in-hand with helping people improve and enjoy their working lives, something we're also passionate about here at Workday. We're proud to be working with a people-first organisation like SEEK to support its global workforce as well as the great work it does to help other businesses succeed, both large and small."

SEEK was founded in Melbourne in 1997 and has expanded its presence to various markets, including Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. The company's transformation project aims to create a consistent operational approach that supports its mission to enhance fulfilling and productive working lives. By adopting Workday, SEEK plans to make insightful, data-driven decisions and manage multiple markets through a single platform.

SEEK also anticipates growth and further expansion, with Workday's scalable, cloud-based software supporting its objectives. Workday's integration of AI and intelligent automation is set to optimise processes within SEEK, potentially freeing up resources for strategic analysis and actions.

SEEK joins other notable Workday users, such as Western Sydney Airport and Aurecon. These organisations have leveraged Workday's enterprise management cloud to achieve greater efficiency and decision-making abilities. Tom McCormack, Chief Technology Officer of Western Sydney Airport, stated, "Workday has been very effective for us, providing high levels of efficiency."

Aurecon, an engineering, design, and advisory company, has used Workday for a decade. Its Chief Information Officer, Carl Duckinson, noted, "My team can spend time working with their counterparts in people, finance, and operations to get better outcomes for the business as it innovates. We can see what happened, we know why it happened, and we're better informed about what we can do next."

With the implementation of Workday's systems, SEEK aims for enhanced visibility and consistency in managing different regions and subsidiaries, ultimately driving its core objectives and facilitating growth across all its operational regions.
