Scality, a leading provider of reliable, secure and sustainable data storage software, has announced the promotion of Marie-Laure Retureau to the position of Vice President of Sales for the APJ, Middle Eastern, and Central Asian regions. In her new role, Retureau aims to increase Scality's presence across these emerging territories by leading a dedicated team to amplify both partner engagement and enterprise adoption of Scality storage solutions. This move reflects Scality's ongoing commitment to its growth trajectory in these high-growth markets.

Retureau brings over two decades of global business expansion expertise with complex sales cycles to her new role. Before Scality, she held sales leadership roles at OpenIO, an object storage vendor, and Cloudmark, a messaging protection software company. For the past two years, she served as Scality's Regional Director, working closely with customers and partners across APJ and the Middle East.

In her elevated role, she plans to continue her successful strategy of working closely with customers and partners across these regions to both understand and address their storage challenges and ensure they have access to the correct partners to manage their storage requirements at scale.

Speaking on her plans, Retureau said, "Our goal is to prioritise the customers need for sovereign and safe on-prem data solutions. We will accelerate growth by expanding our ecosystem of distributors, VARs and tech partners, and build on the success we've already experienced with ARTESCA and RING by giving customers in this territory access to Scality's market-leading hybrid cloud and data backup solutions."

Retureau's appointment comes at a time when Scality's product ARTESCA, a simple, secure S3 object storage software for immutable backup, has seen steady adoption. Enterprises are increasingly seeking modern solutions like ARTESCA to tackle their most challenging storage issues.

Market validation combined with Scality's disruptive product innovation and partner-first growth strategy, has accelerated the deployment of Scality solutions across various sectors, including banking, healthcare and government entities.
