Saviynt picks NEXTGEN to drive APAC identity growth
Saviynt has appointed NEXTGEN, part of Exclusive Networks, as a key distributor in Australia as the identity security vendor expands its partner-led route to market across Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).
The agreement adds NEXTGEN's distribution reach and services to Saviynt's identity security portfolio, spanning Identity Governance & Administration, Privileged Access Management, and Identity Security Posture Management. The partnership is positioned around rising identity risk linked to broader use of automation and AI systems.
Identity creation and access management are shifting as organisations add more machine accounts, service accounts, and other non-human identities alongside employee and contractor users. Saviynt cited internal figures showing non-human identities now outnumber human identities by 82 to 1, increasing enterprise risk and strengthening the case for governance at scale.
Distribution partnerships remain central to cybersecurity sales in Australia, where systems integrators, specialist resellers, and service providers handle implementation and support. NEXTGEN operates as a regional distributor across cybersecurity and adjacent software segments and is part of Exclusive Networks, which says it serves customers in more than 170 countries.
Channel focus
Saviynt described itself as channel-first and said the appointment strengthens coverage in Australia while supporting growth across APJ. NEXTGEN will act as a distribution platform for partners selling to commercial and public sector buyers.
"As a channel-first organisation, Saviynt is highly reliant on its channel partners," said James Ross, Regional Vice President, ANZ, Saviynt. "NEXTGEN's deep market understanding and strong technical skills make them a great fit both for us and our growing client base."
Ross said Saviynt expects the relationship to improve delivery outcomes. "With digital identity at the core of modern infrastructures, this new relationship will allow faster deployment, better integration, and strong partner-led execution," he said.
Saviynt's identity portfolio spans governance, privileged access, and posture management. Identity Governance & Administration typically covers access requests, approvals, and lifecycle management for joiners, movers, and leavers. Privileged Access Management focuses on higher-risk administrator accounts and privileged sessions. Identity Security Posture Management is used to assess identity configurations and control gaps across environments.
Partner support
Under the arrangement, Australian partners will get streamlined access to Saviynt's identity platform through NEXTGEN. Saviynt also highlighted training and certification through Saviynt University, which offers certification programmes, technical training, and role-based learning paths.
NEXTGEN will provide services including onboarding, logistics, financial services, and technical labs. It also plans to offer demand-generation support for partners.
"Through our expanded footprint and combination of skills, experience, and services, both companies are now well placed to meet the growing needs of the partner ecosystem throughout Australia," said Todd Parsons, Partner Director, ANZ, Saviynt.
The deal comes as vendors and partners compete for identity-related projects at the intersection of security operations, compliance, and IT modernisation. Many organisations are revisiting identity controls as they add cloud services, integrate SaaS applications, and connect third-party users and suppliers to internal systems.
Market positioning
NEXTGEN said it is adding Saviynt to a curated vendor portfolio, linking the move to customer demand for tighter access control and more structured governance as organisations deploy AI technologies.
"Identity has become a critical pillar of modern cybersecurity, particularly as organisations accelerate AI adoption and face growing pressure to manage access with greater precision and confidence," said Wendy O'Keeffe, RVP ANZ at NEXTGEN. "We are highly selective about the vendors we bring into our portfolio, and Saviynt stands out as a high-growth innovator with strong market potential. By adding Saviynt to our portfolio, we're equipping partners across APJ with the capabilities they need to simplify identity management, strengthen governance, and help customers scale securely, while also supporting Saviynt's continued expansion across the region."
Saviynt plans to broaden its partner ecosystem across APJ through NEXTGEN's regional footprint and service model, with increased partner-led delivery and support in Australia.
