Saviynt appoints Roger Hsu to spearhead Asia expansion drive

Today

Saviynt has appointed Roger Hsu as Regional Vice President for Asia to lead the company's regional growth efforts.

Hsu's appointment follows his tenure at SailPoint, bringing more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and identity management to the company. His new role will see him direct Saviynt's go-to-market strategy across Asia, with a primary focus on strengthening enterprise identity security amid a complex cyber threat landscape.

The company states that Hsu's arrival marks an increased investment in the Asian market, which is currently facing heightened cybersecurity threats. Saviynt references the IBM 2024 Cost of a Data Breach Report, which identifies the Asia-Pacific region as the most targeted globally. Compromised credentials and misconfigured identity systems are cited as the chief causes of breaches.

"Identity is no longer just a security concern; it's a business imperative. The threat landscape in Asia has evolved dramatically, with organisations facing sophisticated attacks that exploit identity as the new perimeter. Roger's deep expertise in the region and customer-first mindset will be instrumental in helping enterprises modernise their identity programs and stay ahead of these risks," Dan Mountstephen, Senior Vice President of APJ (Asia-Pacific and Japan) at Saviynt, commented on the appointment.

Hsu is responsible for overseeing regional teams and advancing Saviynt's strategy to secure digital identities for both multinational clients and local businesses. His focus will extend to supporting businesses in the financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and critical infrastructure sectors, in which Saviynt has already established a growing presence.

Discussing his new role and the company's strategy, Hsu said: "Saviynt's commitment to innovation and its cloud-native converged identity security platform is unmatched. I am excited to join the team and help more organizations across Asia future-proof their identity infrastructure to support secure digital transformation."

Saviynt states that it is making ongoing investments in local talent, forming new partnerships, and developing solutions tailored to the region's specific needs. The company considers Asia a strategic growth market. It aims to address the rising demand for sophisticated identity governance technologies as enterprises pursue digital transformation plans and seek to comply with evolving regulatory standards.

According to Saviynt, the addition of Hsu is part of a broader vision to redefine identity security for modern enterprises operating in an increasingly digital and regulated environment. The company says its platform is relied upon by Fortune 500 brands and regional enterprises seeking secure and compliant identity management solutions.

Hsu's appointment is intended to further the company's efforts to serve organisations throughout Asia as they navigate the complexities of digital identity and cyber risk.
