Radware partners with CHT Security for AI-driven protection

Yesterday

Radware has entered into a managed security service provider agreement with CHT Security to deliver AI-powered application security in Taiwan.

This collaboration marks an expansion of the existing relationship between Radware and CHT Security, the security arm of Chunghwa Telecom, the leading telecommunications entity in Taiwan. The agreement allows CHT Security to incorporate Radware's AI-driven Cloud Application Protection Services into its offerings, enhancing its portfolio to better assist organisations in combating the increasing cyber threats in the region.

CHT Security is already employing Radware's on-premise DefensePro DDoS Protection to safeguard its clientele from cyber interceptions. The partnership is particularly timely given the rankling rise in cyber attacks across Taiwan. Radware's threat advisory outlines that groups such as NoName057(16), RipperSec, and the Cyber Army of Russia have recently launched DDoS attacks targeting over 50 entities within Taiwan, which include governmental websites, airport systems, and various financial service infrastructures.

Jeff Hung, General Manager from CHT Security, stated, "We are looking forward to partnering with Radware to expand our product offering and engage with customers at an even higher level of service. Combined with CHT Security's rich practical experience and 24X7 expert SOC team, we can provide our customers with multi-layered defense services against today's most sophisticated threats."

Radware's Cloud Application Protection Service aims to fill the security gaps exacerbated by rapid technological advancements and software and hardware updates. The service provides comprehensive protection with a web application firewall, bot detection and management, API protection, client-side protection, and application-layer DDoS protection. It leverages automation, AI algorithms, behavioural detection, and round-the-clock managed services to guard against over 150 types of known attacks.

Currently, CHT Security delivers cybersecurity solutions to a diverse clientele, including more than 300 large enterprises, over 40,000 SMEs, and numerous individual and household clients. Their sectors of engagement range from government agencies and financial institutions to high-tech companies and healthcare providers.

Yaniv Hoffman, Radware's Vice President of Sales in APAC, expressed optimism about the expanded collaboration, saying, "We are excited to expand our long-standing relationship with CHT Security. It is becoming increasingly difficult for already short-staffed security teams to defend against a threat landscape that is constantly evolving with more frequent and complex attacks. Through our joint efforts, we can not only help organizations solve these challenges and increase the security around their critical assets but also create a win-win for the Taiwan market."

Radware's solutions have garnered recognition from industry analysts like Forrester Research, Gartner, and IDC, highlighting its position in the cyber security market. Their AI-driven security solutions cater to enterprises and carriers worldwide, facilitating protection against sophisticated cyber threats while optimising business operations and cost efficiencies.
