Rackspace names new Managing Director for APJ region

Rackspace Technology has announced the appointments of Adhil Badat as Managing Director for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), and Wade Weirman as Principal Data Lead in Australia, marking a strategic advancement in its regional leadership and data-led growth strategy.

The new leadership appointments are intended to bolster Rackspace Technology's focus on delivering data-driven and GenAI-enabled cloud solutions in the region. Adhil Badat, based in Sydney, transitions into the Managing Director role with a focus on refining the company's go-to-market strategies and enhancing partnerships. Wade Weirman's experience aims to add substantial expertise in data and AI to Rackspace's offerings in Australia.

Adhil Badat joined Rackspace Technology in 2021 and has most recently led customer success and operations across APJ. His previous roles include sales and operations leadership through various enterprises such as Telstra and DXC Technology. His experience is believed to be pivotal for the initiatives he will lead for Rackspace Technology.

With more than 27 years of experience across various industries, including financial services and health insurance, Weirman's knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies comes with advanced certifications, which the company felt was crucial to bolster its data-led transformation capabilities.
