Plaud has launched the Plaud Developer Platform, offering APIs and SDKs for the integration and automation of AI-powered notetaking in a range of business and developer applications.
The new platform aims to address a gap in current conversational AI solutions by capturing and analysing both in-person and online conversations, serving industries such as sales, healthcare, consulting, legal, finance, and education. By enabling organisations to unify conversation data from various formats, Plaud intends to create a single layer of conversation intelligence that can be embedded across workflows.
Unified conversation intelligence
The process of documenting conversations remains a manual, time-consuming task for many professionals. Plaud's platform is designed to let organisations capture information from all forms of conversation and automate extraction and utilisation, reducing dependency on manual notetaking and the risks associated with inconsistent records.
According to Plaud, its Developer Platform is intended to deliver secure and efficient workflows by embedding conversation intelligence into business processes through its APIs and SDKs. This would allow teams to focus on high-value tasks rather than administrative duties.
Integration and automation
Plaud states that its platform is specifically designed for a hybrid world, offering the capability to extract insights from both face-to-face and virtual interactions. The platform's hardware devices - Plaud Note Pro, Plaud Note, and Plaud NotePin - provide one-touch recording and intelligence capture wherever a conversation occurs. For online environments, the Plaud Meeting Bot can join platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams using a single API, immediately embedding meeting intelligence into collaborative workflows.
The company highlights the platform's transcription accuracy across 112 languages, with features such as live transcription, speaker identification (diarisation), custom vocabulary options, and automatic formatting. Organisations can access templates for professional uses that generate multidimensional summaries and outputs tailored for specific business roles, including actionable sales insights and strategic overviews for leadership.
Plaud's platform outputs data, transcripts, summaries, and metadata in JSON format, enabling direct integration with existing software such as CRM systems, electronic health records, dashboards, or custom-built applications. Deployment options cover both cloud-based and self-hosted environments according to enterprise requirements.
Customer feedback and performance reporting
Multiple commercial users have reported operational gains from early adoption of the Plaud Developer Platform. The company notes that the sales intelligence agent Donna has seen a threefold increase in enterprise deal closures. A dental group has reduced documentation and support ticket time by 90%, while a real estate firm has reported a 30% improvement in transcription accuracy, with a concurrent tripling of conversion rates.
Plaud emphasises the distinction from single-channel solutions, positioning its platform as able to collect and analyse conversations wherever they occur, whether in person or online.
Data security and compliance
The platform is built with enterprise data protection in mind. Plaud states that it meets SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and EN18031 compliance standards. The SDKs are designed for reliability and give developers fast integration options, while customers choosing self-hosted deployment retain full control of their conversation data.
Addressing the company's goals, Plaud shared in a statement:
At its core, the vision is inspiring: build the next generation of intelligence infrastructure and interface to capture, extract, and utilise intelligence through the combination of hardware and software.
The Plaud Developer Platform is intended to serve a range of organisations looking to unlock conversation-derived insight across both real-world and virtual environments, with a focus on workflow integration and data privacy compliance.
